I shower twice a day and wear things only once - everyone's acceptable standards are personal to them, you don't need to be insulting about it just because it's not what you do.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame

I wash my armpits so they aren't dirty - don't you?0 -

My heavy yard work clothes I don't like to put on twice because they stink of animal pee.
Tbf, more often I actually wear fleece pjs:o. They wash and dry extremely well and layer better as winter progresses better than denim.
But I used to wear jeans. After mucking out barns they reek. I'd garden or do field maintainaince in them all winter, but mucking out, nope. And I keep clean barns too, so its not as if its that they are worse than usual.0 -

If you've sniffed it and its fine?
Or if you are self employed like me and do some of the work from home. I do teach in clean clothes when Im teaching fitness classes, I change my undies every day and socks.
But seriously, I cannot see the point of taking off a T shirt thats been worn once and shoving it in the wash. Unless its totally manky or something has been spilled on it.
I'll also wear a dress, hang it up and then wear it again. I do shower regularly and if something smells like it needs a wash it gets washed.
I also have a couple of denim waistcoats and no way do they get washed after every wear.0 -

Yep, but I guess lots of us do different things in clothes. Some people might be very sedentary in their clothes, others might walk a sweaty ten miles a day in theirs.0 -

Yes, but they will be in need of a wash again by the end of the working day funnily enough and once clean why would you want to put a day old top back on the next morning?Over futile odds

It depends, never thought about this before but I have 2 "suit" trousers which need dry cleaning that I cant even remember the last time I took in, they are hung up in the bathroom for a bit of a steam after wearing (they can hang there for weeks) then as I am prone to the odd ciggy they get a fabreeze before wearing but stuff I can wash is only worn once as I think it is icky not to ... no I cant work out why either!
All my jeans these days seem to have elasticy stuff in them and go baggy after a good wearing which to me is 4hrs+ seems to go a bit droopy so only one wear before a wash.
When I lived at home and Mother did my washing jeans had to basically walk themselves to the washing machine before they were done were they made of different stuff then?? 15-20 years ago.
Tops etc. .....after one wear cause I am a bit of a mucky mare and chances are that 9 times out of 10 my lunch is on there somewhere.

Because someone might have worn a top for 7 or 8 hours tops, I dont know about anyone else but when I used to work full time, Id change out of my work clothes when I got home.
If someone showers, then puts anti perspirant on, they might still sweat but unless someone has a really bad odour problem, its unlikely that a T shirt theyve worn for one day will smell
I worked in a gym last year and my boss was ridiculous because she gave us all one top. I was working in it and expected to teach classes in it and it got to the stage where I went to work in my own T shirts and got criticised for that, but no way would I do a shift and then teach spin classes, go home and shove on a sweaty smelly T shirt
Vastly different to when I was sat at a pc for 7 hours. It depends what you are doing a lot of the time.0 -

If I needed to wash my pits at the end of the day, I'd change my antiperspirant! I expect it's different if you do manual work but I "worked clean" in an office and now don't work at all.:o
