Hi,
I recently received the CPP letter saying I could be entitled to compensation for my card protection policy. I replied and received a very small compensation of around £74. This seems a very small amount to me as my direct debit to CPP is £5.99 monthly. It has occurred to me that this DD is for an identity protection policy which I thought was linked to the card protection policy and were one and the same. It appears not.
What should I do? I wasn't sent any information regarding or even mentioning the ID protection policy. However, I feel this was miss sold to me in the same way the card protection was and I would like to make a claim. I didn't mention the miss selling of ID protection on the claim form as it was specifically regarding card protection.
Is there a way I make a claim even though I haven't been offered the opportunity regarding ID protection?
Should I refuse to accept the scheme administrators offer and write to them? Or, should I accept the offer and make a new claim regarding my ID protection policy? How do I go about this?
I am a little unsure as I thought I saw the wording somewhere that if the compensation offer is accepted I must agree to this being the last claim made against CPP.
Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards

Thank you! :T
That was so easy. Telephoned the company concerned and they refunded 175 (2005-2013 payments) without any argument.
Have used the same company since 1988 but they would only consider 2005 onwards.0 -
I received the CPP form, filled it in (easy) sent it off and have now been sent a cheque for £130. :beer:0

My husband received documentation from CPP, we filled it out and got a cheque for £118.
Completely surprised as he has moved 4 times, and doesn't recall anything regarding CPP (we checked here first thinking it might be a scam) other than HSBC seem to be involved.0 -

My wife and I received 2 letters at the same time. Another bank had contacted me and CPP contacted my wife. We both completed out forms and I've already heard from the bank twice but we have had nothing from CPP. Can anyone give me an indication of how long they took to respond? It's been around 6 weeks perhaps since we sent our forms off.0
