In 2012 I challenged my bank about my CCP, I didn't have a great deal of info or records regarding the sale of the policy, but after speaking to them on the phone a couple of times they agreed I was owed money, some time later I received a check for just under £70 along with a letter saying this would be a final payment regarding all and any other policies I may have. I was happy with this result. Then in July 2013 I received a further check for another £45 without any prompting from myself, BONUS !.
Then early this year I received the standard letter that was sent out to all CCP policy holders. I wasn't sure what to do as I'd already been paid. So I simply filled out the form with a short foot note saying that I had taken out the product so long ago that I didn't recall the circumstances of the sale, therefore I would rely on the readers sense of fair play and good judgement. "Boom" Another check for £115.
I cant wait for next years !!!!!!!!!0 -
So easy, I received a form from CPP completed it to the best of my knowledge and yipee I received a cheque for £556 two weeks later, put it into this year's cash ISA allowance so will receive interest on it too, lucky me,0

I had a cheque back this weekend for £170! I remember reluctantly paying for this every year, but had no records of how much I had paid or any statements but was all taken care of their end! Thank you money saving expert for bringing this to my attention!0

i have received the CPP letter requesting i submit my claim but i am unsure which template to use as i have no record of the original policy.
i have asked the processing team for a copy but they could not help apart from informing me it was for an MBNA card ( surprise ).
i contacted MBNA who have told me to contact the CPP process team.
i am now going dizzy, does anyone have any suggestions regarding which template i should use......0 -
I had a cheque for £153 arrive a couple of weeks ago. I've had a policy for over 12 years and it doesn't seem a great deal compared to others.
I'd like to know how the compensation is calculated - can't see it on this thread. I doubt I'll challenge it but it would be nice to know.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Once again MSE has triumphed. Just got a cheque for £214 from CPP. Using MSE templates it took 5 minutes to fill in the form and needed little effort. This is the third refund I've received using Martin's advice.
Thank-you

Hi - my other half had a letter from CPP a while ago & because I read this site so much I knew he had to act but seeing as he is so lazy at this stuff I nagged, anyway, ultimately he did send everything off, used this site to see what he needed to write on his form & last Friday we got a cheque through for £302.77 - just in time for our holiday on May 9th so thanks MSE :j:j:j:j:j:beer::T:T:T0

My husband got a cheque for £44 yesterday. Never look a gift horse etc but it seems a bit low compared to the sums others have received. I know he paid it up until 2010 because I had a devil of a job trying to cancel it.0
