Thought as much.
My wife and I, have each received a claim form with separate claim numbers,
Is there any point in filling in both forms as we have a joint Bank a/c?
Regrettably we do not have our Bank Statements
pre 2005, as we down sized to our new house two years ago and disposed of them when we moved.
I think we were with Sentinel prior to CPP .
Does anyone know if we can claim for this period without our Bank Statements as proof?
Would appreciate any advice please0 -
Got letter today.0

Hi, no, I havent moved, been here over 20 years. will be sending off the verification they requested and also for my husband, just in case he had CPP at the time. will report back when I hear more. I dont care how much the payment is, anything is welcome, pub lunch would be great!:j0 -
Hi everyone firstly I would like to thank the site and it's members I have successfully claimed back my CPP payments using the templates from the site and the info you guys posted in the forums. I received a cheque yesterday for £364.72 although I was expecting to receive a bit more than that amount as I had taken out the card protection & identity protection costing £80 per year. I am pretty sure I started to pay CPP in 2005/6 and cancelled it early in January 2013, the letter my cheque was attached to says "this amount will be a total for all policies". I had read on the site that the card protection and the payment protection might be paid in two separate cheques, anyone else on the site feel they have received less than they should have or had two cheques from them?
Yes, I am pretty sure I have received less than I paid in premiums. I intend to call CPP on Tuesday as someone else has mentioned on here that they were told they'd receive a second cheque.0 -
Success. Merely filled in the form sent to me with one sentence to the effect that the policy was no good as I didn't need protection once I'd told bank my card was lost/stolen as I was already covered for such circumstances. Sent form off 6/7 weeks ago and cheque for £240 arrived this morning.0

Hi I got a cheque for 288.88 last week having sent back my form on the 26th of Feb. This included interest and tax and was from a policy covered from 2005 to present/card guard with HSBC. I've approached HSBC regarding a refund pre 2005. Fingers crossed I might get a bit more from them, not to be greedy! Thanks for all the advice on here.0

Did nothing concerning any of the initial paperwork. But did then complete the form for the actual claim. Cheque for £185 received yesterday. Wish I could do this for a living0

On Thursday, I phoned CPP up to ask them who and when I paid the protection with.. They told me it was 2009-2011 with A&L. I don't remember signing with CPP when I opened my account with A&L.
I thought it was card protection and I replied on the form about why I should claim based on the card protection, not identity.
Would it made any difference to my claim because I thought I had a different protection cover?
They said a letter has been issued. Obviously due to Easter and no post Friday or Monday, I won't find out about letter until next week.
Do all letters sent after 6 weeks have cheques or do I have to repeat the process with identity all over again?
If not, I am getting £50 more per year than expected! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
