Hi everyone firstly I would like to thank the site and it's members I have successfully claimed back my CPP payments using the templates from the site and the info you guys posted in the forums. I received a cheque yesterday for £364.72 although I was expecting to receive a bit more than that amount as I had taken out the card protection & identity protection costing £80 per year. I am pretty sure I started to pay CPP in 2005/6 and cancelled it early in January 2013, the letter my cheque was attached to says "this amount will be a total for all policies". I had read on the site that the card protection and the payment protection might be paid in two separate cheques, anyone else on the site feel they have received less than they should have or had two cheques from them?0

I had one of the letters last year about voting which I did and then sent the claim form off last month. Do you get a reply if your not getting anything?
The reason I'm asking is my son sent his off the same day as myself and he has received cheque already and I've heard nothing.0 -
I had just the credit card protection policy (since 2003). I bought at my own initative, directly from CPP, so assumed that I'd have a job claiming mis-selling. However, I followed the guidelines in the claim package that came to me from the redress scheme, quoting the key phrases that were helpfully mentioned in the claim pack, and hey presto, a cheque for £235 drops through the letter box!:j Only trouble now is that my policy will be cancelled and I'm about to go on holiday! Can I go back to CPP and get a new policy issued and get them to transfer the data from the old to the new policy?0

You've complained that the old policy was useless/not suitable for you.
Your account and all data associated with it has been cancelled and all monies paid have been refunded.
If you now wish to open a new insurance policy, you'll have to re-supply all details of cards etc you want to protect.0 -

With regards to the latter can you back that up with some references? I've not heard of a single complaint against HSBC's selling of CPP being upheld by them - they've all been unsuccessful.0 -

Do you know that for a fact or are you just guessing? You might be right but please caveat your advice if it is just an assumption. You've complained that the old policy was useless/not suitable for you.
Many people, including myself, were probably quite happy with the single-call-to-cancel-all-cards aspect of the policy and highlighted that in our complaints. However, given that the fraud aspect was miss-sold, and the complaints procedure doesn't allow for partial redress, all monies had to be refunded regardless.0 -
Mine came yesterday - £309.28!!!
Thanks for the help & info
Cheers! :beer:0 -
Happy days
what a lovely surprise yesterday when coming home and opened letter with cheque ! I made my claim end of February and got my money just now. So it really took approx. 8 weeks. I had already cancelled this policy last September , but could still make my claim. It really was straight forward , and just like Martin said fill the form post it and sit and wait for your money. I had all necessary claim forms via post . So , it is really worth of doing it. In my case I got back couple of hundreds but it is still money and because I am on maternity leave it helps.
Cheers everyone , I hope you succeeed .

Hi there,
First time on here. I'm in the middle of writing a reply for my mother in regards to CPP. She can't remember exactly which policy she took out. All she remembers is that it involved her 'House keys,' if they went missing. And that the banks already had protection cover for her, so there was no need for the CPP.
So, which answer do i go with? Below is what i've written so far -
[FONT="] 'I was missed sold because I already had protection cover with my bank, also my bank is responsible for any transactions after my cards had been reported lost or stolen.'

Not much i know, but it's a start.0
