Try ringing CPP, the chap I just spoke to gave me a breakdown of what payments they had received from me and when. This might give you an answer ?0

Thanks vandanfc, have just called CPP as advised. The figures that they gave me tally with what I have received, however I am adamant that I paid more than they are disclosing. My advice to anyone receiving CPP redress is CHECK IT! I SUSPECT THAT CPP MAY DELIBERATELY TRY TO UNDERPAY YOUR REDRESS!0

I received letters from the company I had a card protection policy with, I did not complete the vote but filled the claim form in when I received that. I had no old paperwork and just wrote on the claim form 'if you have taken money from me that you shouldn't have, I would like it back please.' I received a check for £283.80 this morning. :j0

I received my cheque today for £637.90 which was much in line with what I was expecting which was after £31.99 tax. Thanks to this site for all the info and tips received.0

Got my piddly cheque in the post yesterday, £70 for myself and £95 for the missuss which is in line with what I was expecting.
Not a bad result considering I binned the very first letter I got about this thinking it was just spam!

I filled in the application form because I had been told that I may still be financially liable in the event of fraud and the financial implications of identity fraud to me when I was initially sold the policy. I duly sent it off. I received a small cheque today for £61.28, but it was for a earlier period and nothing to do with my claim, so I queried it with CPP. They stated they were not responsible for the period I was claiming for and that I had to approach Barclays who had taken over Morgan Stanley who were the people who had arranged the CPP cover. Barclays have referred me back to CPP so I've had two fruitless calls to CPP who are adamant I have recourse to Barclays and Barclays are telling me it is down to CPP! Any assistance would be appreciated. I paid CPP by monthly direct debit for five years and reckon over that period I paid them roughly £300.00 which wasn't necessary and I'd like to get that amount back plus interest!
CPP are only dealing with claims after 2005 before this you will have to contact Barclays and put in a complaint .Light travels faster than sound.

Hi I have just opened the post to find a cheque from CPP for £716.73 as payment for mis-sold card protection and Identity Protection sold to me from 2005. Thank you MARTIN for your easy to follow instructions on how to claim.0

I received a cheque for £329.83 from CPP today for the period from 2005. CPP are also looking into my claim for 2004-2005.
However, HSBC have referred me to the CPP claim address for my 1992-2004 claim for the policy which was taken taken out with Beneficial Bank in 1992. I have filed a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service for this part of my claim.
HSBC/Beneficial Bank appear to be extremely dismissive of most claims. Does anyone else feel this way?0 -
