Is this something worth taking to the ombudsman?
You can't refer pre-2005 complaints to the Ombudsman.

    Hi!
I am just about to to send my form off but I can not work out which template to use to fill in the box, I had CPP card protection but do not know which template would relate to my case as I thought it covered unauthorised transactions but as I do not have the small print of the contract anymore I am not 100% sure if it did or not. Has anyone filled a form in yet that had theres through CPP? and what template did you use?
    Thanks!

See my posting #254 in this thread for the reasons I used for card protection and ID theft.

Both have led to two successful claims so far!

Thanks Vigman, I have checked out your post and will be sending my form in this weekend.
  • in the 2 templates for section B, it is worth considering that in 2005 those figures were £5000 and £1000, respectively.

  • Received a Cheque for £44 this morning, a bit disappointed as I have had CPP with identity protection for at least the last 8 years...
I'm not very good with paperwork, and Im not sure if i could/should contest this or if I should just bank the cheque...

got a cheque this morning for £140 which was nice, but in my maiden name. (i have no idea where these charges are from but must be pre-dating my marriage in 2010, just tried my luck as i got the form).
As it is in my maiden name i cannot pay the cheque in to my bank, so i know have to send them a covering letter, a copy of my marriage certificate, a copy of my driving license and the cheque plus wait another 6-8 weeks for a new cheque to be drawn up ....grrr
  • Thanks MSE. Used your templates and received my cheque for £226 today. More than happy!
