I has protection through Card guard which I cancelled last year. I got rid of all the paperwork so what can I put in my "Why I want to be considered for Compensation" box as I have no figures. Is it ok just to put I understood when I was sold it that this was a product I needed. It I knew I was already covered by financial regulations I would not have bought this product. Or would that be too vague.
Advice would be really appreciated. Thank you!0 -

Read the letter they sent you; it's doesn't ask you to put any values in that box, does it? They also give you a number of possible reasons for claiming compensation.
You should also read the MSE article where there are a number of possible reasons that may be applicable to you. You can pick one of those if its appropriate - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...rotection#help0 -
I had sentinal card protection (maybe still do) have moved house and never done anything with it. Is Sentinal part of this Mis-sold reclaim? I had it with a Capital One credit card.0

Some people are mentioning that the form is asking for dates that the policy was held.
I have received my form and there is no section about what dates the policy ran for.
Am I missing something?I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0 -

I didn't see anyone mention that. Have you got the thread post numbers?
I don't think you're missing anything.0 -

Hi Dave,
I think it was this one that I was thinking of:I was sold Advantage Gold promising free travel insurance, good interest rate for overdrafts. At no time was I informed that if we had pre-existing medical conditions we may not be covered. I telephoned the medical insurance company and gave them my husband's medical conditions. 'We will cover everything except for his heart condition'. So I feel we were missold this insurance. I have been into my bank and they have reimbursed four months charges £60 as they say we did use it for any minor overdrafts that we may have used. Most months we were in credit so this didn't help very much. We have a Motability car so didn't need the breakdown cover, that we knew nothing about. I don't know when we took out the Advantage Gold cover but the form asks for the date. How do I get it please.I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0 -

I don't think that's anything to do with the CPP Redress Scheme; it's not listed on the Scheme's web site nor in the Explanatory Notes.0 -
My CPP letter informs me my current Card Protection Policy will be cancelled if I claim. However although I did think, wrongly, that I needed the cover against financial loss I also wanted the "one-stop-shop" service for lost cards.... which I have used a couple of times and value it. Am in being disingenuous if I claim I was influenced by the insurance when in fact I am happy with the other benefits/service provided. I have had the policy since 1993 and have merely repeatedly renewed it since then.0
