I don't think I can put it in a clearer way.
As I said yesterday, David, it's good that you are answering so may of the repetitive questions asked over and over on this thread-but don't allow yourself to become so irritated by the repetition that this shows in the tone of your posts.

It might be an idea to save a few "template" answers if you are going to continue being this thread's "guru":D

    Hi
I'm trying to fill in the CPP form but i really can't remember how is was sold to me, so am a bit stuck, can't even quite remember the year, think it was 2006 i first took it out when I got a credit card to visit my brother in USA - think it was quick cancelling of all cards and gave financial protection against unauthorized spend.

Unfortunately i had a big clear out of old paperwork about 18months ago and remember throwing away some leaflets about CPP at the time which probably would have said. Advice on how to proceed would be great.

Also I have the original CPP letter but have misplaced the reply envelope, do you think it's ok to send in an envelope I address or for it to be processed should I contact them and ask for another envelope.

Just phone them. They'll be able to answer all these questions.

Just use your own envelope and get proof of posting at post office . There is plenty of time to sort this out with them I am sure they will also help if you ring them.

    Hi All

I have been issued with the claim form and all the previous letters leading up to this point... However i cannot remember what was said in the conversation regarding the cover... as it was a long time ago.

I am unsure of what to say in the reasons for claiming box.. Any advice?
I am in the same situation. No longer have any cards but obviously
miss sold hence the letters and form for claim.
Can anyone help with what to put on the claim

Just because you received the letters and the claim form, it doesn't mean you were mis-sold. You might have bought the policy for other perfectly valid reasons, so it's not a given that you are entitled to compensation. The letters were sent to all people that _may_ have a valid claim.

As to completing the form, the lovely people here at MSE have gone to the trouble of producing a lot of template answers at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/CPP-card-protection.

You should read that and then pick the most appropriate reason....or even read the letter they sent you, where they've kindly put 2 possible reasons on it for you ;)

You, and only you can decide which is the most appropriate response for your situation.

Martin has done no such thing, MSE Amy provided the template. Martin Lewis sold the MSE website some time back.
