I have received a letter off CPP saying they have sold me a policy and I could be due some money back. But I don't know which policy? I vaguely remember when we got an Asda credit card it had a sticker on it with a number we had to ring to activate the card. How do we find out what sort of policy we have got. I think Asda then were with Santander but thet are with Sygma now.
Just write to them they will not tell you over the phone.
I enquired about 2 CPP that I was in the dark with ?Light travels faster than sound.

Has anyone actually had any luck trying to call the redress team? I've had the BT network busy message every time I've tried.0

Reading some of the successes/failures on these pages it seems to suggest that policies that started before 2005 and continued to be held after that time require two claims, one via this current scheme and one direct to bank/CPP.
Is that right?
Yes, I was redirected to Virgin (MBNA) to claim back premiums paid by the other half pre 2005. Quick letter to Virgin, just stating he felt it was misold and he got a cheque for £85ish within a few weeks.0 -
My position is fairly similar and I am currently awaiting advice promised by Martin on Monday (24/2) about how to complete the form. I think I know what to do but see no problem in waiting for advice from the expert.
My other issue, which may apply to you, is how to go about organising alternative cover to replace this, if indeed this is worthwhile. I am thinking in particular of the advantage of one phone call to organise replacement multiple cards in the event of say a lost/stolen wallet. Having cancelled this cover (via claim) can one then sign up again with CPP under their less misleading newer wordings and presumably at lower charges, or should one go elsewhere, and if so where?
P.s. Message for Martin, I would think a paragraph or two from you on this one might be widely of interest, but not sure how to address a message to you?

Ok thanks, well if I haven't had anything by 1st March I will call them. I definitely spoke to them a week or two ago and confirmed my new address.
Try not to worry too much. I was beginning to wonder where my letter was, when I got home last night to find it had arrived.
But my partner's letter has not yet arrived. Will give it until Wednesday next week, and then give them a call if it not received by then.
Just wondering though, have CPP give any estimation of how long they will take to process the claims they receive?February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Hi,
Can anyone advice me, I want to claim from CPP for a policy that I have since 1993 and take out a policy that gives me the same cover that I have with HSBC Card Guard with CPP for just £31 per year.
The facility to cancel lost or stolen cards and order replacements in one phone call.
Cover for replacing locks and keys if your keys are lost or stolen:
Emergency cash advance, replacement travel tickets advance and hotel bill advance.
Replacement passport and driving licence.
Replacement of lost handbag or wallet.
Cover for any cash that is lost or stolen, along with any cards which are lost or stolen.
Cover for the cost of retrieving lost personal items.
My Audi A4 key cost about £230 to replace. Can anyone advice.0 -
