Mhow to go about organising alternative cover to replace this, if indeed this is worthwhile.
I also would appreciate guidance on an alternative service that provides one phone call if a wallet is lost/stolen
No one here will advise on specific insurance policies from individual companies. That would be tantamount to advertising.

To be honest, one has to ask why anyone reclaiming CPP would even consider similarly useless insurance?

That's the fee you paid to use a pay-to-use card...

For those struggling with what to put in section b, the letter itself gives you the exact thing to fill in.

"You could be covered for up to £100,000 after you reported the loss/theft of your card"

The bank would have been liable for this in any event so it is a virtual cover. As soon as you report your card list or stolen, any transactions are the banks liability.
    Total Quidco earnings - £547.98

This is the correct answer. No need to write reams of unnecessary detail, just copy and paste the above.:T

    So that's non-claimable?

Not sure how I feel about claiming for my CPP since the reason I took mine out was so they could make the phonecall to everyone on my list if I lost my purse or keys, with me just making one phonecall to them, granted I had no idea it would have had the above on it as well. Unlike PPI it is a small amount so I think I probably won't claim, since they would have done what I took the CPP out for.

  • Hi there Everyone,

    First time on here!!

I like many others have started the process of reclaiming CPP, I have had my letter from CPP , and had a look on here for some help & advice about how to complete the form!! (Wanted to make sure I was saying the right thing)

Finger's crossed I will be successful and I would just like to say
"Thank You" for the help & advice that's available on this forum.

I will keep you all posted on the outcome.

    Thanks
    Cath
  • Reading some of the successes/failures on these pages it seems to suggest that policies that started before 2005 and continued to be held after that time require two claims, one via this current scheme and one direct to bank/CPP.

    Is that right?
