Hi
I've received my letter today from CPP compensation claim form but am stuck on what to write in the section 'why you want to be considered for compensation' can anyone give me advice on this?0 -
The paragraph above the box explains the reasons why it was mis-sold. All you have to do is copy one or more of those reasons into the box. The products were sold so badly that everyone should get compensation.0
-
It's disgraceful that people are being told to write "reasons" in the box.
The reasons have already been prescribed in the court order.
Presumably CPP are doing this to create ambiguity and prejudice, thus limiting the amount of money they have to pay back.
It should be a simple matter of a tick-box: "do you want your premiums refunded: yes or no?"0 -
Not at all. You may have purchased the policy purely for the convenience benefits provided by their card cancellation service in which case you would not be entitled to your money back - legally or morally.
CPP are following exactly the FSA's processes and procedures by listing what aspects of their cover were missold and getting you to confirm whether any of them apply to you.0 -
I purchased this insurance purely for fraud protection on my card following an incidence of fraud on my credit card, I panicked and was sold cover over the phone in 2007 that I did not need. In my case I am eligible to claim. Like the previous poster said if it was purchased for other benefits for example mobile phone, key return service you would not be entitled to compensation. There's not enough room to write in this silly little box though. I ran out of room and waiting for another form to be sent. My advice is photocopy it and have some practice runs to make sure you can fit everything in. Write as much as you can to get the most important points across. Also has to be filled in capital letters, so need to keep handwriting as small as possible.0

Do you have to cancel a current CPP policy BEFORE making a mis-selling claim, please?
Also, is Barclays Bank HQ the correct address to use for Barclaycard mis-sold CPP policies, please?

Morning
Did it make any difference if you were self employed, like with PPI my husband got his back because they shouldn't have sold it to him.
