Just received a letter from CPP re Marks and Spencer Cardsafe. They have reimbused 2004 premium of £15 plus interest so a cheque for £24.70
Says they were "not subject to industry standards prior to 7 Jan 2004"
Better than a poke in the eye and worth a couple of phone calls and a letter.0 -
Sent in my claim about a week before the deadline. Used template from MSE. Cheque arrived yesterday for £499 :j
Thanks MSE :T
Now, that's a nice little sum! Well done. Of course with interest it all mounts up. Just out in interest ( and in hopeful anticipation of my own payment!) how many years did you have it for, please?0 -
Saracena, I really don't know how long I had been paying it for but I think for around 6 years (working it out roughly from monthly payments and amount refunded).

I put a claim in just before the deadline and by the beginning of last week I hadn't heard anything. I mentioned it to DH and asked if he still had the receipt for recorded delivery - he'd lost it and I thought we had lost out. I got home from work and lo and behold a letter containing a cheque for £408. A great result, thanks to MSE. :jBooks - the original virtual reality.

Actually true to their word, mine also arrived today-cheque for £350!
Given how I was cutting it so fine with the deadline, I realise how lucky I am.
Thanks everyone for your assistance!0 -
I received my redress letters in February, I sent the forms off in August 3 in total, yesterday I received two cheques. I queried with CPP this morning as to why the amount was so low, and why I only received two cheques. They said that I only returned two forms. This is not the case and I explained I returned all 3. The person was extremely rude and said well there is nothing I can do about it now as the scheme has closed.
I feel really aggrieved as I was paying £80 a year for the 3rd policy and I did send the form back and because CPP won't admit that they have lost the form, I am left with having a policy I do not need. This is completely outrageous.0 -
The scheme closed in August. Why did you leave it until that month to return your forms? You say you received them in February..This is completely outrageous.
Would anyone be so kind as to offer me any advice as to how I ought to pursue this please
If you have kept proof that you returned a third form you have not been paid for, you should forward this to CPP at the earliest opportunity. If (as you should have) you kept a copy of the form you should send this too. Without such evidence, your complaint is over I'm afraid.0 -
Looking for help ref. c c p claims I submitted 2 forms before the closing date one for me and one for my daughter and have received 2 cheques, the cheque for my daughters ID protection was considerably higher that mine on phoning the help line they told me I had only sent one form in for myself on the Card protection bit and should have sent 2 forms I said I did not know that there were 2 forms for myself and I assumed that one form did all for me(on checking through my paperwork I find another form) anyone any idea what to do.0

Pardon me for interrupting the jumping of the band wagon in regards to CPP mis-selling. I do not believe everyone that has claimed money back was mis-sold their policy, I used to work their for 18 months back in 2005 and it still stands for me as a great company to work for and was dissapointed i left to go work somewhere else,I don't believe their were any hard sells well not by me anyways, I'm all for people being refunded for being mis-sold a policy but I just don't believe all monies that have been returned to customers were all from being mis-sold.0
