I'm in a similar position, HSBC ruled against my complaint, but they made an offer to FOS when I approached them.
It's getting very close to four weeks since I accepted that offer - via FOS - but HSBC have not yet been in touch.
The team at the FOS asked me to email them back if I don't hear anything from HSBC within four weeks, which I will no doubt be doing this week!PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -
Wow... Firstly to Pete-20-11.... Get straight back onto the FOS. Ask for the decision to be reviewed by an ombudsman NOT the adjudicator, They have to do this if you insist. For me it made the FOS adjudicator I was dealing with realise I wasn't going anywhere without making a fuss, they are getting into a habit of trying to deflect far too many people who have a good case!.. Worked in 24 hours for me. Money in my bank within 7 days. I don't care who said what to who - They knew I was not going away - do the same and become a pain to them.
As for moneyineptitude - your comments are noted. However you're completely wrong. I wont go into detail but I'm fully aware of how the FOS works and also more than experienced in using the small claims courts. In my 4 cases the banks have never turned up to defend themselves - suits me as I was awarded payment in all 4, so I couldn't care less if they were concerned about being taken to court. It suits me if they don't and they don't turn up - the result is I get the money from these corrupt organisations. Who's the fool ????. I'd love a bank rep to turn up to one though, it'd be worth losing £35 to be able to speak to them in court.
Bottom line is these people are more than happy to make customers stick to their money grabbing T&C's, but more of us need to take these people on - worse case is you loose £35 in court costs !!!.. So far I'm over £3150 up - thank you very much bankers for not being concerned by me threatening to take you to court and not bother defending yourselves - Cheques are acceptable !. Keep up the fight and don't be put off by ANYONE on here trying to tell you you wont win. Be confident in your dealings and stick to your guns - remember its £35 you're risking.0 -

Well said. To anyone thinking they have been mis-sold don't be afraid to use the court system, stick with it. Remember that costs are usually limited in the small claims process with no award made against the claimant even if you lose and as paramount23 say's. the banks etc don't generally bother to even turn up if it gets that far0 -
Hi,
My policy was sold in March 2007. I just found out that I could claim for a refund. I received a letter from CCP back in February but I thought it was junk. Can I still claim?
Thanks0 -

I sent my CPP claim form in before the end date. Should I have heard something by now?0

Same here sent in just before the deadline and still not heard anything in fact its 8 weeks this Thursday.0 -
They have 14 weeks to respond. No one has so far reported waiting that long.0

We misplaced the claim form and did 2 requests over the phone before the end date, nothing was re-sent to us, I have a feeling they just ignore our requests. Anyone in same position? I would like to still try at reclaiming but not sure how to go about it without a form...0
