They have 14 weeks to respond. No one has so far reported waiting that long.

You sure it's 14 weeks I always thought they had 8 weeks before you took it to the Ombudsman.

The CPP Refund scheme is entirely separate from "normal" complaints. CPP was given more time in anticipation of a huge influx of complaints all at once.

I would like to still try at reclaiming but not sure how to go about it without a form...
The scheme ended August 31st 2014 so, unless CPP have a log of your request for new forms, you are too late.

Yes they have a log as I rang them a few weeks ago to ask the same question and they told me they had 8 weeks to sort it.
  • I posted mine about 9 days before expiry and am still waiting. If they want to defraud me out of claim, so be it. :)

    That's a little extreme.
  • Claimed just before the closing date in August. Just received cheque for £318.23 after 8 weeks. Many thanks MSE.
  • When I first phoned the cpp claim line they informed me my policy was pre 2005 so gave me the derails of creation financial services. I lodged my claim with them. They have responded saying as a gesture of good will they will refund my premiums and interest earned and sent me a cheque for £106
I am not happy with this as my policy was opened in 2004 and closed in 2012 I have bank statements showing an annual direct debit of £29 being paid to CPP so obviously the amount creation have offered does not cover the premiums paid!
Is there anything I can do to? Can I forward complaint on to financial ombudsman?
    Thanks

Not for a policy purchased before 2005. Creation were not regulated prior to this date and so could have dismissed your complaint completely. The Ombudsman has no jurisdiction.

You still have the option to go to court if you wish..
