Sent form to CPP on 12 August - received cheque dated 9 September for £207. Found out from CPP that I had had my policy since 1986! Following another poster's experience I called the Bank of Scotland to claim pre 2005 and told them about my successful CPP claim. They were clear and helpful on the phone and started processing the claim there and then. However, they said they did not have transaction detail before 1998 so would have to contact CPP. They said they should have the info in 5-10 days and would call me back. We will wait and see but I am hopeful...0

Got a cheque for £167 today. Very grateful to Martin Lewis for the email alerting me to the deadline and for the helpful guidance on the website.
Great stuff!0 -
Dear all. Have just been dealing in association with my mother on my late father's account( now in my mothers's name) and she brought up the issue of a dd for £35 a month that she had cancelled for cpp. He had a stroke 18 months ago and died 12 months ago and we are only now catching up with things. She knows of no letter of redress and vaguely remembers a saleswoman in the local branch of YB plying this stuff. Seems it was sold in summer of '12 .What's the chances of following this up with any success do we reckon, now that the drawbridge is up?0

CPP did not cost anyone £35 a month (£420 a year!). The Direct Debit must have been for something else or been for £35 a year.
CPP insurance was normally a nominal sum usually paid annually. It was not PPI.
The CPP Refund Scheme closed at the end of August.0 -
Thanks to this forum I have a cheque for £23...haha, okay, not a lot but hey, rather in my pocket!! BUT the better news is mortgage PPI came in at £1400 - yes!! All thanks to this site; the letter template, advice and support. Thank you, it's helped a lot and it was as easy as stated. I should have done it years ago.0

Hi, I have all but 1 of the certificate of insurance forms sent out when the policy was issued and then re-newed and it went up from £59.99 in 2007 to £79.99 in 2013. I was thinking about sending photocopies of these documents back to CPP with the cheque they sent to me informing them that I expect a full refund. Would this be the most effective way of handling this? Advice gratefully received. Thanks0

How long should it take for cpp to reply to the claim to get processed?
Sent it in the final week, but heard nothing so far0 -
Called the bank claim line on Thursday. They called back and left a message on Monday. I got back to them today (Wednesday) and there and then (after about 10 mins on hold while they checked the figures) they offered me £436 for the period 1986 to 2005. A cheque is on its way - no paperwork to fill in - all by phone. Huge thanks to this site and to the poster providing contact info - here is is again for BofS: 0800 409 6556 or 01383 641 202 - good luck!0

I wrote to HSBC requesting refund for pre 2005.
They wrote back denying it was mis-sold pre 2005
I reported them to the Ombudsman
They have now made an offer to repay all the premiums pre 2005 with 8% interest - so I think on the same terms as the post 2005 payments.
Worth writing to claim pre 2005 payments, and keep at it!...0
