  • I am having the same problem! I never received a letter or claim form for ID Policies for which both me and my husband have policies. When I called CPP Redress Scheme, they said that as I bought it through Barclaycard (?) I needed to contact them. They gave me a ref number eventually, but were hard work! I've had a heated discussion today with CPP Redress and again they were adamant that they are only dealing with Card Protection, but that's not what their letters and website says. They could see my ID Policies on their scree but refused to accept they sold them to me. I'm hugely frustrated by all this. Taking your advice, I will get a letter off to them today. Is anyone else having this issue? The reports since Saturday on BBC Breakfast made little distinction about this issue.

    I agree it is very confusing. As i understand it they are looking at identity and card protection. You only have to contact who you purchased it through if it was before 205, otherwise CCP are supposed to sort it.

    Additionally i asked if the letter could be faxed or sent via email, CPP say they cannot do this and will not except photocopies.

    My advice to anyone with form problem is to send a letter to the CCP today explaining the situation. Then send the form, this is what the F.O.S said to do.

    If they do not except there will be a Complaints assessor that can be contacted. nobody seems to know who this is yet. The FOS at present will not be assessing any further complaints.

    Update on special delivery - using the online Royal Mail tracking service, I can see that three of the four claim forms I posted yesterday via special delivery have now apparently reached their destination and been signed for. The Royal Mail system allows you to see the signatures, so I've got proof they've reached their destination in time for the deadline.

    Here's your answer;
    I had four forms to send back - one each for my wife & I covering ID protection and one each for us both to cover card protection. Even though it was only one policy.

    No, there are other companies offering similar insurance who do not form part of the CPP Redress Scheme.

    There is no point becoming "frustrated" with CPP or writing them, any letters if you didn't have their insurance. As above, you'll need to complain to Barclaycard-not CPP.

    Success! Well almost.

    My mother lived with me before she passed away, and I received a CPP letter addressed to her some time last year. I wrote back, telling them she'd passed away in 2011, and have since been getting letters from them, addressed to me, about the scheme.
    I filled in the latest form when it arrived, stating I was her executor, and have now received a cheque for just under £200. Problem is, it's payable to her, and her estate has been finalised long ago, and her bank account closed.

    I actually thought there was something about the date of death so was surprised to get anything at all. Suppose I'll be on the phone to them next week

    Success: posted the form eventually around the 7 August (using the MSE guide) and received a cheque yesterday for £314! :)
