Reclaim CPP article discussion

Just to update the thread that I sent it yesterday to the address on the form via Special delivery and it reached the destination and was signed for.

I had to ask for a new letter and got this today.

If I post this first class / recorded delivery for the same day tomorrow do you think I will still be entitled to repayment ?

I made the mistake of binning the first two letters as thought they were spam mail ?

Even "Special Delivery" is not delivered the same day, so you've missed the deadline if you post today.

If the original claim form had been lost in the post, you'd think they'd be a little more flexible.

I'd post the new form when it arrives, and include a letter regarding the original being sent back, but lost in the post, and if they refuse to process the claim, complain to FOS.


Of course, in hindsight, it would have been advisable to contact them say 8 weeks after posting the original form - but it is easy to forget these things (although, I'd recommend putting a note in your diary/calendar/phone for x weeks after you post something like this).

Well the fact that they were still prepared to send a duplicate copy, even though it was already too late to return it, is cause for optimism about their flexibility. Unfortunately, the OP doesn't say whether he actually went ahead and requested they do this.

I think if CPP refuse to process the re-sent form then FOS would require at least some proof of the date of postage of the original form. If the original poster has this proof of posting, he should include a copy of this with his re-posted duplicate complaint.

Hi everyone,
CPP told us we didnt need claim form but we shuld put in a claim to Barclays Bank for 2001! Ive downloaded martins template but it says the 'I enclose the paperwork' i.e. proof. I obviously havent got any paperwork for such a long time ago. What do I do? Would be so grateful if someone would tell us the best thing to do. Plus being such a long time ago really dont know what to do/how to write the letter.

I rang CPP (suggest you do) apparently I wasnt entitled to claim from 2005(apparently havent got it) but they told me that I should make a claim directly to my bank because I'd had it in 2001! They actually (cpp) gave me the policy number which I should make a claim from!
Am compiling a letter to my bank today so (fingers crossed) I'll let you know if successful.!:eek:

Please advise here. Have just realised I have missed the date to apply for CPP compensation. Is there anything I can do? Also have had this so long do not know which bank sold it to me and am unable to advise the bank sort code or account number. Paid this from my credit card and no longer have statements. Help!!!!
