Does anyone know how likely it might be that I could be successful in my claim
It depends how robust your mis-selling complaint is, very little to do with how old it is unless the Bank have destroyed their records.
  • Has anyone tried holding on for CPP? How long do they take to answer, been trying on and off for two days. Running out of time to request another form by post.

Regardless of the "confusing" wording, I first told you back in May that you must complain to BOS for pre-2005 complaints. I even linked to the clearly written MSE article about it. Now here we are almost in August and we are still having a dialogue about it?
Surely your additional complaint should have been completed by now?

So we are clear, I was holding back on both claims hoping for some advice that actually fitted my situation rather than the catch-all nature of the general advice to be found here and elsewhere.

Your answer being insufficient, I hopefully clarified that very point for others as well as myself.

In my experience, incorrectly filling a form/making an incorrect claim can lead to that claim be negated or at least its legitimacy being weakened.

And yes, of course I do have other things to do with my life. However, if the wording of the advice had been absolutely clear, I would have filled of course in both claims months ago.

So perhaps have a little humility rather than being insulting. It surely doesn't fit in with the ethos of this site.

Financial worries can lead to anxiety, low mood and depression.

Let's all try and help each other along, shall we?

No one has a been "insulted".

Why have you not just done what I recommended you do back in May?
You'd have had an answer long before now.

This ends our dialogue on the subject.
  • Hiya, I have had a CPP policy for years and have received the claim letter and form. i will use your template to complete the form. It says on the letter that if I claim compensation I will have cancelled my policy. As it was a 3 year renewal payable last year will I receive part of my renewal payment back or will this be lost? Thank you
  • I bought a cpp policy through Columbus Direct which is not covered by the redress scheme. I phoned the scheme yesterday and they confirmed this. I have never received a letter. Do I write to Columbus Direct or CPP to ask for compensation? I have tried to call CPP but they are not answering after holding for ages. Does the end of August still apply?

If you are successful you will receive a refund of all CPP paid, including advance payments for renewal.

We sent the CPP claim letter off about 2 or 3 weeks ago and not heard anything yet. How long has it taken for people to get a reply?
  • I have a letter to claim back CPP but unfortunately I'm not sure which card it relates to, therefor I do not know what to fill in on the form. I called them to ask which card this letter was in relation to but they said I needed to know the card in order to pass security. Time is marching on .... PLEASE advise me on how to fill in the form
    Thank you :o:o:o
