Can you tell me if I have anything to claim if I only had CPP in case I lost my keys or cards? I had it for years paying a lump some every 5 years until they hiked the prices and I stopped it. The problem is I have no paperwork either.0

Yes they sent me forms to fill in and I had a reminder this week that I hadn't sent them back. It's just that I wouldn't have thought I was eligible especially as I now have no documentation and have no idea when I even cancelled it.0

Anybody in any doubt about their entitlement to claim, ie no documentation don't worry. If CPP have sent you a letter and claim forms get it sent off. I did and have just come back from a weeks holiday to find a cheque for £477.78 arrived in the post. A great result and thanks to MSE for help and information on filling in the claim.:rotfl:0

Hi
I have received 2 forms. 1 from CPP and 1 from MBNA regarding PPI mis-selling.
Having checked my previous MBNA cards with customer service, 4 of them had PPI and were active during or after 2005.
I found two old card closure letters. The letters referred to CPP payment protection. I have requested to MBNA Harlow claims team for a full list of PPI monthly charges per card, as would take the call centre too long to work through over the phone.
I have a few questions and would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this...
- do I claim through MBNA PPI or through CPP?
- do I need a claim form per card? The form I have is pre-filled for only one of the affected cards.
- do I need to state the monthly charges per card on my claim, or will the claim process do this for me? (can I trust them to check properly?)
For one previous card, I found an MBNA PPI policy document - Lifestyle Protect. There is a key facts and policy document.
- Even if key facts were provided, presumably the argument of not requiring/being mis-sold payment protection insurance still stands?
Is the mis-selling confirmed in writing in key facts, marketing info or policy document?
Thanks for the advice

I have been paying Halifax Card Protection for years. I received no claim form, but I did recently receive a letter telling me that my protection was no longer on available and offered me another one.
I called the number on Martin's website to request a form and they had no idea what I was talking about as I didn't have a policy with their specific firm. Does anyone know if Halifax Card Protection is part of the group who mis-sold policies? Thanks.0 -
Quick update, Barclays just coughed up £10369 for ppi on my old £1900 overdraft. It was already paid off about 6 months ago but I lived in it for about 10 years. I put in the claim at the start of June so not bad going Barclays!0

I received my form from CPP a while ago and kept forgetting about it, but thanks to MSE for reminding me and providing templates on how to fill it in, I finally did it a few weeks ago and have just received a cheque for £267. Thanks Martin and the team :T0

I recently received compensation from CPP for payments made to my Marks and Spencer Card Safe policy,,from 2005. I have had this policy since Dec 1990 and have since tried to claim back premiums paid post 2005 from CPP who sold the policy for M & S. My claim has been refused in a 'final response letter' from CPP. As expected they are saying they were not subject to agreed industry standards prior to 2005 and they have advised that I can take my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman . I am going to do this and have down loaded the appropriate form from the Money Saving web site but I was wondering if anyone else is in the same position.Thanks0
