I would just like to say thanks, I have just received a cheque for £133 for CCP sold to me by Capital one for insurance I had prior to 2005, I wrote to CCP and all I had was my key ring number but they traced my policy and refered it to Capital One who have made the refund.:rotfl::rotfl:

Hello, I rang CPP today as I hadn't yet heard since my 12 April claim - apparently it now takes 8 weeks from receipt. As they received my claim on 16 April I'm hoping the money comes in time for my son's 21st! Cheers!

  • Thanks for the templates - Mum received a cheque for £216 - in just about 4 weeks - thanks

    Hi davejay00,

I think it depends on the whom you had your banking/financial relationship with. I claimed directly from CPP for premiums 2005 onwards (received £214) and similarly to yourself was wondering about making a claim from Santander for the pre 2005 premiums. After reading this thread I did indeed call Santander and with very few questions asked I received a further £217 refund of premiums. I have seen some comments on this thread about HSBC not paying out for pre 2005 premiums, but not sure about Barclays. I'd say it's worth a try. You have nothing to loose.:)

    Kind Regards

p.s. Thank you to those who assisted with information relating to making a claim from Santander.

Sooo happy! I received 439 and my husband 163 in CPP reclaims. Followed advice of MSE to the letter. Thank you very much!
  • Filled in CPP form re M&S cardsafe policy a few weeks ago. Came back from holiday to find a cheque for £183.

    Result.
  • if unsure or can not remember how policy was sold to you, which template do you use ?

this forum is full of results & congrats for MSE but very little help is actually posted regarding how to choose the correct template.

I think this is slightly different to PPI mis-selling, as most people have been contacted by CPP themselves, so there's far less obligation to prove it was mis-selling...

So to add to the good news, I put my claim in about 4 weeks ago having received my letter from CPP, used the first standard paragraph in the MSE claim information, and have just received a cheque for £286!

Yes, for most, it's a very straightforward process which does not require any assistance. I doubt very much if anyone has received rejection letters if they held CPP policies after 2005 and returned the form with a reasonable "complaint".
