I have checked with CPP and have been told that I have had this policy since 2003 and that it was originally bought through MINT credit card. I understand that MINT is now RBS. I am confused and dont know a) if I can claim back from a company that is no longer going and b) if I can claim back that far!!0

PS You can also claim even if you have cancelled your policy.0 -
Hello fellow CPP & Ex-CPP Policy holders,
I have an issue whereby I took this CPP policy out in 1993 via the Abbey National (now Santander) and I ended it in 2008 due to unauthorised access of funds over the Christmas period in 2007 (causing much distress and no funds over xmas).:(
When I informed CPP of the unauthorised access, the reply was to 'inform my bank and cancel my card' (which I had done prior to calling). Once VISA had refunded the stolen funds, I realised that this policy was a waste of time and money so I cancelled it in early 2008 as well as moved bank.
As the redress scheme is from 14th January 2005,
Who do I contact regarding compensation from the period 1993 to 2005?
Assistance would be very much appreciated0 -
I requested a refund and compensation from Barclaycard Protection which I joined in 1992 and have received approx £700 without further question0

Just received CPP voting scheme forms but I have no wY of knowing whether too trust to vote yes/no.
They seem to be saying vote yes so they can begin to send out claim forms. The trouble is these are the people who said to activate my card I need to say yes, so I said yes not realising it wasn't Santander card activation. I was in a hurry that day.
So I don't trust what they suggest to do.
Anyone else got these scheme voting forms and which way to vote?
Thought I would ask here since site owner I trust.

I received my voting form today. I did have card protection and Identity protection policies, but only got one voting form!
I called CPP as I was expecting a voting form for each policy. But I was told I only needed one voting form for both policies, as my covering letter had quoted both policy numbers and this was bar coded into the voting form! Another bit of confusion as I had read one vote form per policy!
Also one of my policies started in 2001 and I was told to contact the original provider to claim for those years 2001-2005.
What is rather worrying is "this claiming/voting" process seems a little too easy, if it is approved. Usually you have to fight to get any compensation, which is a long drawn out process! Why are they making it easy (for some of us)????0 -
