Gotta Say, I love all the "fanfare" at this "new" feel at home thing...

Nobody in the media seems to be mentioning that this is basically a U-Turn by 3, in that they're effectively resurrecting 3 like home!

Regardless, I'm bloomin' chuffed. I'm heading home to Ireland on Saturday for a week so this makes my life infinitely easier than having to faff with swapping sims and stuff.

I wonder why they've brought it back? Presumably it's to make themselves look good in advance of all roaming charges being abolished next year! :D

Actually, it's different and better than 3 Like Home as you can connect to any network.

I used to use "three like home" back in 2008 and promptly cancelled my contract when they pulled the plug on it.

I was able to take advantage of "Feel like home" this summer in Austria.

Hi, thought I'd resurrect this rather than start a new thread...

I'm making a trip to Italy for 3 days, so thought I'd use this service rather than pay roaming charges. I've an old PAYG sim that hasn't been used in over a year, but have checked and it still works. I've another contract sim (Tesco) for everyday use in the UK, so just want this for the trip.

I mainly want to be able to receive calls and use data for websurfing, google maps etc (ie no major downloading etc). What are the cheapest options? I note that if I topup I get 150MB, will this data be applicable in Italy or is it an exclusion? Likewise will receiving calls be free anyway?

Otherwise, the 120mb per day for 50p will be more than enough too. I presume I can get a £5 topup from a shop so want to keep the spend within that...

Looks like Three Like Home now covers the USA, some 3 pages are already updated on this.

Receiving calls and texts are free? Amazing. Only 10p/MB instead of the usual £7.50/MB, wish they'd done it years ago. :)

You can apparrently now call 08 numbers out your inclusive minutes whilst roaming in the included countries. Which is odd because they are not inclusive in the UK.

"As in any non-UK country, you can’t call personal numbers (070), premium rate numbers beginning 09 and directory services numbers beginning 118. However, calls to numbers beginning 08 will be included in your standard allowances, and then charged at 20p per minute if you go over your allowances."

  • Can someone confirm if I can make use of "feel at home" on the 321 payg plan. The three website seems to be really poorly designed and hard to find definitive information, such as a list of all available add-ons.

As far as I can see data would be 10p/Mb while roaming. However if I bought a add-on which included data before I left the UK, could I use the data in that add-on for no extra cost while roaming?

    Is this correct?

Click on the support info link in original post.

It clearly says it applies to everyone on our network, whatever plan or tariff you have and whether you're using a phone or Mobile Broadband device.

and that you can use an add on at no extra cost.

USA should work just like Feel Like Home already works. If you buy a data bundle on a pay as you go SIM, then data can be accessed at the UK price in the 4 new countries too.

    To be 100% confirmed.

As you say, 3's website could be a lot clearer it caught me out before.
