Just back from Italy, was charged 10p/MB for data from 28th Aug on using a new Three PAYG SIM. Not sure why and posted on other forums to ask.

I'm sure that I explained this earlier. You have to buy a package. If you don't or you have used it up, you are charged:
If you run out of your allowances.
If you go over your allowances, you’ll be charged at roaming rates that are lower than normal. These rates are:

20p per minute to make calls
    7p per text
    10p per MB.

If it was just for your iPad, you should have just bought one of those preloaded data SIMs. Around £8 for a GB for one month or £14 for 3GB for up to three months.

Did you not read any of our posts...

Its your own fault you were charged.

Yes I have worked it out now, for 321 PAYG users is is Three NOT like at home due to that get-out clause about allowances.

So o2 is still the best PAYG roaming deal as before, with it's 25 MB for £2 data packs across all EU countries. Especially as you get notified by text when each 25 MB runs out and have to confirm before next £2 is taken, so your credit does not get cleared out like happened with 3.

Seriously, your post makes scant sense. There is no 'get out' clause. It was explained to you before you left.

O2 is £1.99 for 15MB. How would that be better value than 1GB for £8 to be used over the period of a month?

No one explained anything, I'd been reading too many of Three's prominent pages about the rates being exactly Like Home and apply to ALL tariffs. Only found that 10p/MB bit after several click-throughs. The need to buy a bundle never occurred to me as 321 does not need data bundles.

But wow yes, o2 has upped the cost of it's roaming data so you now get 15MB not 25MB per £2 that's a sharp rise in cost.
If you make several short trips to EU per year as I have tended to, o2 still looks best as:
    - It covers all EU countries
    - No expiry on credit - even if the daily 15 MB expires, you've only spent £2.
    - You only need to load £10 credit for a short trip to get data/calls/texts.

I remember seeing £10 as the minimum bundle available in the My3 app so you need to load £20 credit to get economical data + calls/texts in At Home countries.

3 would cover the case where you are going for a longer trip to one of the few At Home countries. Let's see if that list gets longer.

Probably by the next time I go to EU the data roaming landscape will have changed again (all add-on EU roaming costs to be scrapped by next Summer?).

But this experience with 3 PAYG has not warmed me to them as my first choice for the next SIM to pop in for Europe.

I have a BlackBerry and I pay nothing for International Data Roaming.
Your experience with 3 is solely down to your choosing to ignore the very clear descriptions and explanations.
The 3 website makes it very clear about allowances, The 3 shop staff told you the 3/2/1 tariff was not included when you asked and I explained again to avoid any confusion in post #22.
Yet you went against all advice and now are here complaining. You've been here too long to not accept responsibility for your actions. You decided to take a chance and to ignore the advice.
I wrote in multiple posts that you needed to buy a addon/package.

I explained it clearly and concisely in posts #14 & #22. You just ignored it completely.

I rang 3 customer service and told her I was on an android smart phone and had a PAYG sim, and was told that the All in One is the add on for using Feel Like Home service. I am on holiday to Italy for 1 week. I wont be streaming movies, just emails and surfing for opening hours etc.

On p. 15-16 of the Price Guide 3 offer a top up of 50p per day for 120MB "Internet Daily". Also every time I top up with credit I get 150MB data. I will top up with credit £10 once.

So when I use up 150MB data, and then 4 days at 50p that is £2 for the week. The remaining credit then can pay for the Italy-Italy calls I may make, which are not covered by the "Feel at Home" facility.

Is this feasible? I notice that the My3 account doesnt show this 150MB data allowance, just the credit on the account.

    Depending on your current SIM/Tariff:
    Add-ons - 3Pay & Flat12
If you have been able to purchase the following Add-ons in the past you will still be able to purchase them from your handset by selecting ‘Buy Add-ons’ on My3.

    Internet Add-ons
Internet Daily: costs 50p and gives 120MB of internet. Valid for 24 hours from activation.

Internet Weekly: costs £2.50 and gives 512MB of internet. Valid for 7 days from activation.

Internet Monthly: costs £5.00 and gives 2GB of internet. Valid for 30 days from activation.

When using data, tethering a phone to a laptop for internet use, using the SIM in a Mobile Broadband Device or using
