Three's "Feel At Home" roaming service.

Interestingly, the blurb states any local network, as opposed to just THREE.0

"Who can use Feel At Home?
Feel At Home is available to any Three customer - all Pay Monthly phone customers, SIM plans, Pay As You Go, Mobile Broadband and Business customers."

"Feel At Home is our new service that lets you use your UK allowances to call or text the UK and use data in selected countries abroad. This applies to everyone on our network, whatever type of plan or tariff you have."
But on the same page:
What Feel At Home covers.
Feel At Home means that you can use your UK allowances to:
call the UK
text the UK
use data on your phone
So, Yesterday, when the Three shop assistant (the more senior one who was summoned and who looked something up on their Intranet on hearing my question) told me that a 1 GB for a month data nano SIM would NOT work on my 3g iPad with Feel Like Home, I believed him and decided not to buy a £15 or whatever Three data SIM.
Not delighted yet.0 -

You can use your data allowance if you purchase one. You cannot use the 3/2/1 tariff.0 -

Like i said. Three store staff know nothing. As the person who leaked the original plan on digital spy last week (got told and posted about it back in June) i think i can say with some certainty that it includes mobile broadband sims.

Yeah we need a guinea pig who happens to have bought one of these 1 or 3 month data only Three SIMs and who happens to be in one of the 7 Like Home countries... please turn your roaming data one and let us all know...0

er... more confusion here too.
You mean, you cannot use the 321 tafiff on a 3g iPad.
But you can on any phone, for data, Like Home, at 1p/MB?
I am also wondering if I could buy a last minute nano SIM and 'convert' it to the data tariff for an iPad but loading the 'right kind' of credit onto it once arrived in Italy.
Wow what a minefield.0 -
321 is not an iPad tariff - so the prospect of usage is slim to zero. Three use the SIM profiles to ensure data and phone sims are not interchangeable.0

Yup, this and post #14 are the bits I already knew.0

Bloody hell. It's not hard guys.
If you're on phone contract then you use your contract mins/texts/data for free
If you're on broadband contract you use your data for free
If you're on phone pay as you go you pay standard prices, or the allowance is the bundle/bolt on you bought with credit.
If you're on broadband pay as you go the allowance you have is free to use abroad.
If you're a business customer you can use your allowances for free abroad.0 -
"If you're on broadband pay as you go the allowance you have is free to use abroad"
Yes, now can you buy any Three micro or nano SIM (last minute purchase at UK departure airport for example) then load it up with the 'right kind' of credit, not 321 plan of course, to use data, pay as you go mobile broadband, in the 7 Like Home countries?
Just try getting that confirmed on the Three website!0
