I feel really bad today.. my sinuses hurt, all the glands in my neck are like balloons and I can barely move my head and neck.. I also slept 12 hours last night.. I can't do this.. but my front room looks nice this morning still!!! The children are doing the back room tonight I think... mean aren't I?? lol (I only make the ones 8 and over do it.. not the tiddlers)

Anyway.. my drugs should kick in soon and I may actually be able to do something later...

Back in a bit when I hurt less.

Another 6am alarm for me  . I get the feeling i may spend most of my hols asleep at this rate, as i can't see any let up in pace between now and monday.

Was funny yesterday talking to my sisters, cos they are both very stressed, but my family is the sort who spend that long talking about what they are going to do, they run out of time to do it.

My mum decided to rip the living room apart and redecorate cos they didn't want the same wallpaper in the wedding photos that i had. IYSWIM. As it stood yesterday, half the room still needed redecorating, along with a major house sort cos they just don't get time to do anything. Windows need cleaning. Kitchen needs sorting so we can have make up done in there. Big family room needs a tidy so all the dresses and suits can be put in there when they get picked up on Thursday.

Sister has favours to make still, and gifts to wrap.

other sister has taken the week off work, and has a long list of things to do.

and then there is me - 75 exam papers to mark, marksheets to fill in for 2 schools/700 papers, papers to be put in bags so all i need to do is seal them up to post back, holiday to pack for, ironing piles that resemble the himalayas as i'm trying to move Charlie up into next size clothes,

and they spend an hour on the phone to me, whinging about how everyone is wasting time :rotfl: My answer - just get on and do it. ;)

So, i'd best get dressed as we are off to playgroup this morning. WM is on with towels and DS's comforter (elephant - he's been sucking the trunk, and it stinks foul  ) Cat's fed and now out, and we shan't be long in following. May pop up to Mums and do a bit of something if i'm feeling guilty, but i don't know whether to just work harder and finish what i have to do before helping them

Anyway, more than enough whinging from me.

    Hugs all round
    Michelle, xx

pigpen you are not mean. You are teaching them valuable life skills. Plus, you don't make all that mess by yourself do you?

Hope you feel better real soon!

Hi everyone, didn't have a very good day yesterday so here's to a better one today! Just off to make onion soup - I grew loads of Japanese onions of the winter (highly recommended if you are a veggie gardener) so I thought I'd have ago at this as it's a bit colder here today.

    Wednesday: Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Clear any clutter from desk[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
Clean floors in these rooms(even if it is around clutter)
    Clean bath, [STRIKE]toilet and sink[/STRIKE][STRIKE]+shower tray[/STRIKE]
    Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)
    Level Three
    Clear clutter from floor
    Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
    Clean windows
    Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt

    * Look through the computer documents (internet favourites, word documents –etc.) deleting any that you don’t need, then defragment your computer
    * [STRIKE]Clean any ornamental objects in either of these rooms[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]Wash your bathroom mats – especially if you have a little (or big) boy with dodgy aim[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]Sort your airing cupboard[/STRIKE]

    See you later ..

Pigpen - I wouldn't worry about being a mean mum...I make my 6-year-old help :rotfl:

Well I'm back from the school run, I put the milk away (forgot to get cashback yesterday for costs today and I also forgot milk, thank goodness there's a cashmachine next to school "on" the Co-op :rotfl: so I got cash and then bought milk for the change), put the evening meal on, made a coffee and haven't moved since :o Off now to tackle the dishes and then I'll go tackle the bathroom.

Shirlypark - hugs to you. Men can be a right pest! Glad your rat is improving.

All this talk of full moons and annoying hubby's makes me feel quite pleased that mine is only going to be home at weekends for the next 6 to 12 months. It'll mean less flying too as he tends to be the untidiest person here.

I've drawn up a list of things for my children to do, nothing much but things that will help me like put plates in dishwasher, put stuff away, clean table after a meal, empty their bins etc. My friend says i'm really mean so what do you all think - they're 8 and 6 and a half.

Confession time - our study is a complete mess AGAIN! I've totally had enough of it. I can't even find all the paperwork for selling the car, the MOT has gone AWOL so, my challenge is for the study to be PERFECT by Saturday night. Wish me luck xx
