Dustykitten Do the bugs look like any of these? http://ipm.ncsu.edu/cotton/InsectCorner/photos/beneficial.htm

Just popped in while some sausages defrost slightly for tea  Didn't realise the time so had no time to make anything so it's Sausage and salad for tea :D BUT I did manage to do all the dishes :j

We've just had a fledgling Blue t.i.t. (to get around the word censor ;) ) in our yard almost trapped  It tried to fly off but we have a walled garden that about 6ft high at it's lowest point and it flew straight into it  I was considering going out and picking it up and putting it on the wall but the poor thing did manage eventually to join its family though by flapping its way up my honeysuckle and onto the wall, then the fence (which is a wire fence around the top of the wall to stop people climbing over/cats which was already here when we moved in) and then into next doors tree :D:j Here's the poor thing...

Best go and cook those sausages....

    Evening,
I do often feel like the cow's tail on here (last to arrive) but I'll do my best.

Welcome back Zed and well done to first weekers!
Pigpen, have a hug. And anyone else who wants one today. Come and have a rant.
:p to those of you with sunshine :rotfl:

Its been raining for 24 hours now. I need motivating or kicking or banishing for 40 mins if anyone would oblige? One of those gloomy days where I just feel like watching back to back episodes of drivel and eating hobnobs that I haven't made yet..

Here's what I should be doing
Tuesday Living Room, Hall and [STRIKE]Stairs [/STRIKE]:T Bungalow!

    Level 1
Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)
    Level 2
    Vacuum floor and sofas
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
    Clean window
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    Wipe light switches
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    Extra Mission:
As yesterday, pick one or more of the following tasks –
Take a duster and wipe around the tops of your door frames – as many as you can manage in 5 minutes (it’s shocking how dusty it gets.)
Use a wire coat hanger and a duster to get down behind the radiator and get them bits you never normally reach
Dust a collection – the tops of books on a shelve or CDs/DVDs/videos
Wash your coasters (this one definitely for me as one stuck to my glass last night and then fell off braking a glass – doh)
Wipe the leaves of your plants.

    Back later for an update.

    1st post now updated

so, dailies - whatever i can manage off the list, plus:
    Tuesday 12/6:
    [strike]Deal with post[/strike]
    [strike]Make baby bottles[/strike]
[strike]Receive 2nd sample back[/strike], start to fill in my marksheets
New tyres on DH’s car deferred till tomorrow
    [strike]Order cat food online[/strike]
Attempt to collect the cat urine sample
    [STRIKE]Wrap auntie’s birthday pressie[/STRIKE] also nephews
    Wrap friends baby pressie
    Iron 10 items
    Mend PJs and trousers
    [strike]Mark 32 papers[/strike] plus an extra 17
    Make a dentist appointment
    Do my borderline checks?
    Put all filing away upstairs

    Michelle, x

    Achieved:
    • clean and bleach kitchen sink
    • put last nights washing up away (DH did it very late, so some of it needs redoing as he did an awful job and missed loads of little bits anyway)
    • got meat out of freezer for dinner, chilli pancakes i think to use up a packet mix of batter
    • load of baby bibs washed
    • cleaned bath and bathroom sink cos DH used both after working on car for 3 hours last night, and they were grim. Let's put it this way, Charlie would have come out muckier after his bath tonight, so problem sorted
    • done washing up
    • had some thoughts on reorganising my kitchen - will discuss with DH tonight and probably move round after the hols
    • menu-planned for tonight/tomorrow
    • hoover kitchen and LR rug
    • swept laminate in LR
    • washed my hair
    • loaded WM with towels to set off 1st thing tomorrow
    [/quote]
got to go and sort DS as he is still fussing, but will probably pop back later

Hugs to all who need one, particularly pigpen- your posts cheer me up so often, I am sorry you are feeling down today. traceyg hope you are feeling a bit better, babies are great but they take so much out of you. I went to baby massage class for the first time today, it was great but it is odd getting talking to other mums. Some can certainly be pretty snooty, why I don't know.
Flying is going well this week, having dived back in, although I am doing things in an odd order! Sunday I scraped the bathroom, ugh, it really needed it, Monday I stuck with the regime and did the kitchen, today I did our bedroom. Under our bed is used for a lot of storage, I pulled the mattress off and hoovered through the slats (room is too small to access it from the sides properly). Ugh again. OH has gone to doctor about allergic rhinitis (sp?), I think the dust under our bed is probably to blame:eek: . My main aim needs to be decluttering, cleaning is so much easier once I have decluttered an area. My lovely mum is coming to stay on Thursday, so hope to be on top of things for then. Tomorrow I will attack the living room, particularly the cupboard from hell that contains a fondue set (!!!!) that I have tried to take to a car boot sale twice, but OH insists will be used - I think my mistake was to let him know it was going, I am just going to put it in the charity shop bag and get it out of the house, he will never notice. All my old tapes are in there too - I don't think I need to hang on to a load of 80's and 90's indie stuff do I? I feel a big fling is in order! I am tempted to start now, but will have an early night and get on with it tomorrow.
Sorry, seem to have rambled on. Happy flying everyone and thanks to Michelle.

Updated post above.. it is starting to look like I have actually done something this week. I made the children empty all the junk off the floor in the front room and then I scraped all the trash from under the furniture and made them put that away too.. I have a full binbag of rubbish just from that one room!!! disgusting!!!

Might set them on the back room before they go to bed tomorrow.. it seems to be a pretty good strategy for achieving a tidy room. I do have to put the 3 small ones to bed first though otherwise they make more mess as we are tidying the first mountain.

Anyway.. my throat is killing me.. I'm sure it is hayfever.. and I an shattered so I am going to watch a couple of episodes of dr who and I am off to bed.

Love to all.. and thank you for the hugs and stuff.

DUSTYKITTEN.. what you done today you lazy unmotivated lump??? Come on girl you can't let me beat you!!

    Evening all.
Thanks for your interest in my bugs - i knew somebody would be up for being distracted (guess who was always in trouble in class?) I can confirm it is the Ladybird larva so am glad they will eat my blackfly.
Have failed miserably on the flying, to be exact I have completed one thing, went in the loft to sort out old toys for the fete. OH has done a fab job up there, cleaning and boarding it so I could sort the stuff up there rather than take it up and down.
Found a box of DS1 and 2 old story books which I had forgotten about. DS3 is delighted and I will not need to go to the library for at least a month.
I think I am going to need to accept very little flying this week but have a nice clear couple of weeks ahead so hope to get on track then.
I am going to do some ironing now and watch the DVD for work which I was supposed to do before I started a few weeks ago!
    Might pop back later x
