Couldn't resist doing dining room to finish today's list and that led on to hall and stairs including cleaning all doors and windows in porch, so have a head start on tomorrow. Unfortunately, left some eggs on to boil for sandwiches and then started work, alerted by explosion and went into sparkly egg spattered kitchen
.
Anyway, all rectified and ready for another flying day tomorrow.

Thanks Penny for the link to hobnobs, I'll give them a whirl in the week! (Is this 'online baking' Shirleypark? hee hee).
I had to switch off as we had a big lightning storm and I didn't want to be zapped but I didn't do much more in any case. I did Flylady my handbag though, it's been driving me bonkers for weeks. The bigger the bag the more cr*p I carry around, I can't possibly use it all in the course of a week. Declutter!
Tracyg, come and have a moan and a whinge on here whenever you like, don't apologise. Hope tomorrow's better.

Kitchen floor and oven done. So think that's me done for the night. The bathroom cabinet is now back on the wall - hurrah, so everything that was on the landing is now back in the bathroom, well almost.
The lounge ceiling is being plastered friday, so I'm not going to bother too much with that room as there is little point.
broomstick27 - congrats on the new job
lemanie - it definately gets easier and quicker, I can do most rooms in about 30 mins now, especially if I keep on top of them during the week.
tracyg - sorry to hear about your friend *hugs*
boston_uk, poohbear59 and Penelope Penguin - all this talk of hens - not fair I want hens !! Though not sure right now would be a good time to get them, plus the garden is quite small and often frequented by the local cat population. My stepdad used to have hens and a goose.
Solwaykid - I like reading everyones extras as well
Tomorrow's list
Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)
Vacuum floor - no point with the plasterers here this weekend
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe[/STRIKE]
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets - box up the stuff we don't need
Wipe light switches and banister
[STRIKE]Clean any other glass like mirrors etc[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Tidy shoes, coats and bags[/STRIKE]
Extra Mission:
* Take a duster and wipe around the tops of your door frames – as many as you can manage in 5 minutes (it’s shocking how dusty it gets.)
* Use a wire coat hanger and a duster to get down behind the radiator and get them bits you never normally reach
* Dust a collection – the tops of books on a shelve or CDs/DVDs/videos
* Wash your coasters (this one definitely for me as one stuck to my glass last night and then fell off braking a glass – doh)
* Take things off a shelve (cupboard or storage shelf) so you can wipe the shelve and anything else that needs it - could do with doing the shelf with the garden things on

Mornin' all,
I've been missing in action for a fair few months, but I think *justabout* I'm back for a wee while ....
Today has been one of "those" bizarre days.
I've:
De-junked 90% of the snug, which is pretty good going as it's been the junk room for the previous 9mths plus the chimney had a soot dump over everything and bluntly I've been avoiding it!
3 loads of washing
Washed and bleached the kitchen and bathroom bins
Started to clean the bathroom
Got DH and DD to tidy and clean DD's room :T
DH hoovered our room
Started off the mix for making paper bricks
Cleared and dusted one bookshelf in my work office.
Not much I know, but not bad going including a full days work and dieting (don't ask!)
Tomorrow, hmmm .... will include finishing clearing the Snug as I want to get to the curtains and alter them, and disposing of the recycling (that may take a while!) oh and of course, completely irrelevant to this thread .. go strawberry picking - there be smoothies and ice creams to be made .. apparently, LOL :TGC - March 2024 -0 -
morning everyone
Well I didn't exactly keep to the list yesterday but I did do mountains of washing and drying plus sorting a load of ebay sales which took an age in itself. Sorted the underwear and socks while new tricks was on.
Today I need to make a good start on the ironing (will get last weeks apprentice to watch from mum) I am going to try and put it away as I do it as well rather than pile it up in our bedroom!
Woke up to rain this morning but it is still very close here and the forecast is sun and showers.
Right I am off to get DS up, have a good day all.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

First and most important thing on my list for today is to go to Asda and get some soap powder so I can wash my bird-poo-covered sheet again  Then I need to tackle dishes (OH can only ever seem to do one batch that does half of the ones that are there  ) & clean the livingroom which is surprisingly tidy so shouldn't take very long at all  I even tackled the ironing last night (just over 2 hours) so thats all gone :j If I have time I'm going to work on the school website as I have a governors meeting tomorrow and I know I won't have time to do anything in the morning as I'll be having a nice relaxing bath while reading over the last meetings paperwork so I can get my head in "governor" mode :rotfl:
Right, off to kick somebody's bottom into gear and shut the upstairs windows. Will be back after Asda with a proper list so I can actually see what I have to do :rotfl: :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Michelle, x
Achieved:- clean and bleach kitchen sink
- put last nights washing up away (DH did it very late, so some of it needs redoing as he did an awful job and missed loads of little bits anyway)
- got meat out of freezer for dinner, chilli pancakes i think to use up a packet mix of batter
- load of baby bibs washed
- cleaned bath and bathroom sink cos DH used both after working on car for 3 hours last night, and they were grim. Let's put it this way, Charlie would have come out muckier after his bath tonight, so problem sorted
- done washing up
- had some thoughts on reorganising my kitchen - will discuss with DH tonight and probably move round after the hols
- menu-planned for tonight/tomorrow
