Thought I would join in, keep me motivated all this cleanings exhausted me.
Well today I have swished and swiped the bathroom and downstairs loo.
Done a machine load of washing.
Cleaned the second part of dd's bedroom yuck, did first part yesterday.
cooked two meals and washed up and emptied kitchen bin.
I also took dd to the dentist and sorted out my important letter writing and filed it . Have just been out to deliver some letters and collect my certificate from the college.
Also managed dd's lessons an hour of maths and english.
    Was a busy day today.

From my carried over list I've managed to ....

    weed the front garden
clean 2 shelves of family photos in dining room
put oven racks into bath to soak

    As for the lounge I've...
    tidied
    dusted
removed and washed the 4 large cushion covers from the sofa
washed 2 throws from the sofa

Tomorrow's carry over list will now also contain...
    clean lounge window
    hoover lounge
    replace throws
    wash remaining 2 throws

DS has got a teacher training day tomorrow so I expect I'll be able to catch up with most things tomorrow.

Feeling a bit fed up as DH annoyed me at the weekend.
He told DS he doesn't do as much around the house as me because he works full time. Fair enough I only go out to a paid job 3 days a week compared to his 5 and they are shorter days, but I feel a little disheartened that my time looking after our home and the 3 of us is not noticed. I don't come home from work and sit on my behind, there's a whole list of jobs that have to be done each and every day. Sometimes I just feel like not doing a thing and seeing how that is appreciated.
    OK whinge over!
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Unpredictable as ever DS was very helpful with the lounge this morning. He did the dusting of the low stuff while i did up high and after i'd finished the hoovering he said "again, again - bit dirt there *pointing*" up until recently he has been very scared of the hoover so that was really unexpected. Even managed a couple of the extra tasks.

  • Evening all.
Thanks for your interest in my bugs - i knew somebody would be up for being distracted (guess who was always in trouble in class?) I can confirm it is the Ladybird larva so am glad they will eat my blackfly.

I think I have ladybird larva too, but mine look more like harlequin labybirds, am going to send the photos to the people doing the survey of them, I guess they should be able to tell what type they are.

Some round here think their the bees knees, don’t mean to be nasty but they always seem to be the roughest ones, why do people feel they need to prove themselves, can’t they just chat and let their babies play together? Silly women! I’ve emailed someone about a new playgroup at a local private school and she seems lovely, very genuine so will try that one. I will find me and DS like, even he didn’t like the one today:rolleyes: !

Can I join in with this one - DH has gone away early this am but am still annoyed with him from yesterday. All that time scrubbing kitchen and he thinks he's great 'cause he makes us both a cup of tea but when I go in there he has left milk out with lid off which DS2 is pouring on floor (by accident), has trailed teabags across room dripping on floor and down 2 cupboard fronts and a side and has dumped them on lovely bleached dishcloth by sink. Teabags also left out and sugar everywhere. He's usually pretty good but honestly! This was before the exploding egg incident!

On a more positive note, all this flying has motivated me in other areas and whilst sorting CC statements for paid work found £5 in with DH's receipts - vengeance is mine :rotfl:

Ooh, meant to ask - Broomstick27 - how did you overcome DS fear of hoover? DS2 is terrified and I've never come across it with DD or DS1. Thanks

  • grrrrr I soooooooooooo need to rant. So far this evening the following conversations have occured.

Him: Next time you do a dark wash can you do my green combats !!
Me thinking: you could do your own washing !!!!!!!

Him: Why did you turn the fridge up ?
    Me: I didn't
Him: Well I didn't. I turned it down a couple of weeks ago because it was too cold
Me: Where is the turny thing ? Anyway I didn't do it.
Him: Well who did ? The fridge fairy ?
Me: I don't know, maybe I knocked it when I cleaned the shelves.

I walked into his study to grab some paper out of the shredder to use as packaging and said "just going to raid the shredder"
Him: How am I supposed to watch this (he's watching QI on the computer) if you're going to shred things
Me: I'm not, I just want some shredded paper !

He also appears to have forgotten how to use the dishwasher.

I think I'm slowing beginning to realise quite how controlling he is, and how much he tries to belittle me. I'm actually thinking that once the plasterers have been I'm going to move into a different room, even if it's just sleeping on the sofabed in the dinning room. At the moment he's hardly saying anything to me unless it's to have a go. Thankfully work is less stressful this week, so atleast going to work is a means to escape. The whole situation is really getting me down at the moment, I don't feel like there is anyone I can really talk to about it, last time I talked to someone about our relationship he had a real go at me and said it had nothing to do with anyone else, and he didn't want people thinking badly of him because of my twisted view of reality. He's also been known to turn on my computer while I'm at work and going though my MSN logs to read what I've said about him. I've resorted to my old self destruction coping mechanisms and have increased my medication dose without talking to the doctor.

On a slightly happier note, this evening I picked 3 strawberries, several raspberries, a spring onion and some lettuce leaves from the garden :)

Plus, having taken one of the rats back to the vet this morning because she still had a bit of a rattly chest after a week of medication, this evening it appears to have stopped !! Typical, but is a good thing.

Not much flying done though, I've moved some more things out of the lounge ready for the weekend, tidied up my study which was severely lacking in floor space. Some of the stuff I freecycled was collected today, later I got a really nice email saying thankyou. It's things like that which restore my faith in human beings.

    Updated list for tomorrow
    Living Room, Hall and Stairs
[STRIKE]Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)[/STRIKE]
Vacuum floor - no point with the plasterers here this weekend
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets - box up the stuff we don't need[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wipe light switches and banister[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean any other glass like mirrors etc[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Tidy shoes, coats and bags[/STRIKE]
    Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    [STRIKE]Clear any clutter from desk[/STRIKE]
Clean floors in these rooms(even if it is around clutter)
    [STRIKE]Clean bath, toilet and sink[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Dust PC and desk
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clear clutter from floor[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wipe down tiles in bathroom
    Clean windows[/STRIKE]

    Extra mission:
[STRIKE] * Look through the computer documents (internet favourites, word documents –etc.) deleting any that you don’t need, then defragment your computer[/STRIKE]
    * Clean any ornamental objects in either of these rooms
    * Take a duster and wipe around the tops of your door frames – as many as you can manage in 5 minutes (it’s shocking how dusty it gets.)
    * Use a wire coat hanger and a duster to get down behind the radiator and get them bits you never normally reach
[STRIKE] * Dust a collection – the tops of books on a shelve or CDs/DVDs/videos[/STRIKE]
    * Wash your coasters (this one definitely for me as one stuck to my glass last night and then fell off braking a glass – doh)
    * Take things off a shelve (cupboard or storage shelf) so you can wipe the shelve and anything else that needs it - could do with doing the shelf with the garden things on

    Plus
    [STRIKE]Reply to outstanding freecycle replies.[/STRIKE]
File the last few papers away
Sort out bath panel - needs sanding and then painting
    Seal bath and sink
Look for suitable towel rail and toilet roll holder - found one, will get it at lunchtime
    Clean tile grouting
Get new fan and fit - screwfix
Get any boxes out of the loft that still have things in - going to leave until have time off work next week
[STRIKE]Clear the lounge table storage bit - nearly done[/STRIKE]
Remove the things that can be removed from the lounge - in progress
Clear the dining room - done except 2 things I can't move by myself
Do last bit of raised flowerbed
[STRIKE]Sort out photos - 1 set left to go !!![/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Post niece's birthday present off - tuesday[/STRIKE]
Finish reading book and take back to the library or get it renewed - read some more
[STRIKE]Put puppy photos onto USB to take to work[/STRIKE]

I have done one and a half hours ironing and it does not seem to have made any dent on the pile.
Sent OH out to raid the neighbours recycling bins by dark to get more jam jars for the jar tombola on Saturday, I told him to pretend he was on some undercover mission:rotfl:
Still have not watched the work DVD
Going to put the washing on and off to bed. See you tomorrow afternoon.
    Shirley hugs to you

  • Did not do a thing yesterday and probably not up to much today. Spent Monday night and all day yesterday being not tooooo well. Evening one of the dogs was sick twice and not what I had the stomach to clean up. Then the other dog woke me up at 12.30 last night whinning and started wretching but wasn't actually sick. Were they coming out in sympathy with me or can they catch bugs humans have???

Hopefully will be back to normal later to day and manage to get something done. DS3 was promised DH he would do the kitchen yesterday but went out only to return at about 10.00pm. Of course a telling off was dished out by DH but as DS3 was not in a good mood anyway ended up in "I feel like moving out everyone's always on my back." Calmed him down with cuddles and have decided we have a family meeting tonight so everyone can air their views. DS2 has found the light recently but having a go at DS3 about the very same things he used to do. Does not go down well with DS3 as he remembers when DS2 was the same. The words kettle and black come to mind. Oh the joys of being a mum.

Well off for some more soda water to calm the stomach.

    Have a good day. :p
