Thanks for posting the pictures. Macius is beautiful.
I do hope Goddards get him back to full health soon.
Its so hard watching a cat when he's down. As you say, when you know him inside out, there's a kind of telepathy that tells you he's not well.

Poor Macius, I hope this Practice can sort him out asap. I hate when our furkids are ill and cant tell us whats wromg.

As for Zara GR have you thought of trying a magnetic collar? My friends Dog seems a lot better on his legs since she got him one. Might be worth looking at

Am thinking they might be cheaper on amazon/ebay?

    Thanks everyone.

Vets called me just after 2pm (when I called at 9am they said they were too busy... ).

They wanted a permission (and confirmation I am aware of the fees being now around 600) to sedate Macius to have a look at this throat, check his temperature and take some urine and blood for testing. As he is still very lethargic, dehydrated and has higher than normal temperature.

    Said of course (!!!).

Called me again just now. They could not see deep into his throat but found some ulcers on his tongue (??????). His urine is fine so hopefully no kidney damage. Temperature still higher than it should be - vets not sure why.

He is on antibiotics, fluids etc.

    Blood results tomorrow.

    My poor little mite :(

    Thanks again everyone xx

Chris - Zara had a bioflow collar before the surgery.

She had surgery on BOTH legs she should not need anything at all now now - something has gone wrong and the vets won't acknowledge that :(

You are aware that no surgery, either for animals or humans, is 100% guaranteed to be effective?
