Thanks - will do as macius (and Teddy) always sleep with me.

Now, just to set things straight - Macius did have a very good care at the vets where he stayed. They called me twice a day letting me know how he was etc.

I guess, thinking about it now - I was a new customer to that particular branch so perhaps I overreacted to the payment issue. Knowing he was insured I did not expect any "delays" but in fact he WAS given treatment that he needed and as soon as we arrived he was taken by a vet to the treatment room.

I guess I am a bit paranoid about all my furies and might have been a little bit unfair under the circumstances.

The bottom line is - Macius is back home and well and I will do my best to keep it this way.

    Thanks again everyone.

Glad he is home and doing well :)
I am glad he slept in with you too, I know how much of a worry it is when they get home from the vets.
After Little Sods plastic bag incident I haven't stopped watching him, and every thing he does slightly out of the ordinary has me wondering if it is due to that.
I'm pretty sure he has realised he can milk it for all its worth now though!
  • Fingers crossed for your fur baby.... I think the way the vets treated you was disgusting... My cat ate tinsel at Xmas and had to have it removed from her intestines...I went to a new vet they operated straight away ands never mentioned payment once..they were more concerned with saving her life. ( bill was £1500 )

Please let us know how he gets on x
Its all mind over matter. I don't mind and you don't matter:rotfl:

I'm very happy for you and Macius that he's home. Happy ending :-)

I'm sure this isn't related to Macius but reading how he laid in the litter tray reminds me ...when cats think they are very sick or dying, they go off somewhere quiet and dark to hide and pass away.

My little girl cat kept doing it towards the end. I kept pulling her out from under a cupboard, saying not your time yet. She eventually went into the litter tray a few times. (I have one with the hood over) I think they know not to leave their body in the main living area.

Not so good. Very lethargic, not himself at all - just booked him a visit at local Goddards Hospital for 2.40pm.

    Poor little mite :(
  • Oh no, poor little thing. Fingers crossed he's ok and still just feeling sorry for himself. x
