Chris - Zara had a bioflow collar before the surgery.

She had surgery on BOTH legs she should not need anything at all now now - something has gone wrong and the vets won't acknowledge that :(

Lets hope you can get it sorted. Out of interest who did the surgery please x
RIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Always in our hearts xxx

Brilliant news, pretty disgusting from the vets.
So while you are panicking, sweating, worrying that the tablet kitty ate was going to make his kidneys turn inside out, they are thinking oh well it's not even toxic to cats, we don't have to rush, BUT we will make the owner pay redonkulous amounts for unnecessary stomach pump/blood tests, but we don't do that until we receive money, because money is more important than the creatures our business is made to help.
Hmm - last couple of years I've gone right off vets. We're now seeing a specialist vet and he is fantastic - makes me realise how inadequate some of our previous vets were. It actually costs much less than paying for frequent unproductive vet visits (so it was nothing to worry about, eh?) and the wrong treatments.
Three years ago someone on another forum said "It sounds like... " and they were right! The vet said no it wasn't that - and I trusted him. I never gave it another thought until I saw our new vet.
Now I would advise anyone to go with their gut feeling - I was never really satisfied. I say keep changing your vet until you have found the right one - I am so full of regret.

I am actually here because I saw this and thought of Zara.
I especially like: "pay your kindness forward"

I do hope Macius is back to his old self very soon GettingReady - it is a good thing you don't take chances - some people would assume it was just the after effects of what went before.

SadBunny - thanks. Zara already had the total hip replacement surgery on both legs but something is not right. Insurance kicks in in October will see another vet then.

    Chris - will PM you.

I was thinking about the hydrotherapy - that's expensive - are you still trying that? [Ooops sorry - off topic!]
    Best wishes for tomorrow.

I wonder whether half the people responding actually read the post the OP made accepting she was critical without reason. Oh, no, Just jump on and attack the vets. The OP is totally innocent in all this. Forget the poor hard working vets that saved her precious cat!!

Far too much bum sucking in this part of the forum.

I was advised against hydrotherapy till we get to the bottom of what is wrong with Zara - she has false joints/hip bones. Hydro helps for real ones or for stiffening post op and with her we will have to see what is going on with implants first..

I would not have seen chamelon's post (got him on ignore) if it was not for sad Bunny quoting but as I have seen it.. those "poor hard working vets" charged me nearly £800.00 when Macius was in hospital for the first time 60 hours stay, most of which he spent in a cage so it is not like someone was working on him 60 hours. Now, when I was called they quoted new estimate of another £600.00 so spare me the "poor hardworking vets" line.

With YOUR attitude, I strongly suspect you were a kennel hand (and not a good one) - despite you claiming you have been a vet.

You could always go back to school, work hard and spend tens of thousands of pounds to become a vet yourself if you're so unhappy with how much vets charge?

I think before you attack the people who saved your cat's life you should remember who put him in danger in the first place and aim your anger there.

Where did I say I am unhappy about what the vets charge?

I replied to chameleon's post about "poor hardworking vets" - they do not work for free so can not see how that statement stands in the circumstances. That is all.

Besides, do not want to take a pay cut so not interested in becoming a vet. I studied long and hard to be doing something else FYI and in reply to your nasty post.

You have no idea what I do/what I currently earn so back off with that nastiness.

All my pets are insured so cost is not a concern or an issue.

My cat is unwell, nobody knows what is wrong with him (despite studying hard, spending thousands on becoming a vet etc) - I have every reason being upset by idiotic comments on this thread.

How is Macius doing this morning GettingReady? Hope he's feeling better poor little love. Am not going to comment on other things which are being said on this thread. My concern is for Macius, I love reading your threads about him they make me smile and he looks so much like my Susiecat. Hope he feels better soon. Its so worrying when they are ill. Take care.
loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!

No point calling them as they always say they are too busy and will call back so waiting.

Hope the blood tests show what is wrong with the little mite :(
