No idea if he is well or not - as he is so out of this world poor thing.

Was told to give him meds in the morning and see how he is in the evening and take it from there - to continue or not.

Vetergesic is like morphine so no surprise he is so wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out poor thing.

Still - temperature is gone, blood/urine fine - no diagnosis (scratching head)

Thanks he was still very much zonked off/spaced out/whatever this morning. He is at home with my daughter - we did not give him any more morphine as I have no idea why they gave it to him in the first place - nobody was able to explain that for me. Plus in his notes there was something about me telling them he was "lame" on his back legs - NEVER said that to any vet....

And I thought NHS was bad... sigh...

You need to speak to the vet again then GR.

If they gave morphine they must surely have had a good reason to do so.

And about the lameness in the back legs - I just hope they haven't got his notes mixed up with those of another animal.

Oh that doesn't sound good at all, I hope he's back up and well soon. I agree with Zaksmum, I'd give them a ring even if it's just to put your mind at ease.

Despite not giving him any morphine today - he is still quite spaced out poor thing BUT he attempted to attack the front door to go out, like he normally does. Only he gave up pretty much within a minute and went to sleep.

I have told the vets he was much more wobbly then usual when I took him to Goddards - somehow they put "lame", it was a locum vet (weekend), not the usual ones who work there.. sigh....

Macius looks like he is getting better though. Do not want to jump with joy yet, will see how we go. But I have a feeling he is just still very drowsy after the meds they pumped into him "just in case" as they had no idea what was causing his temperature.

    Thanks everyone xx

Another issue - Fred and Fiona want to beat poor Macius up whenever he walks about.

I know he may "smell strange" BUT they lived together for ages and always got on - don't they recognise him?????

And he does not fight back, so unlike him. Must still feel weak poor thing but I hate seeing him like that.

Normally he was the one bossing all the cats (and a dog) around :(
