Abusive Seller

good on you for putting in a paypal dispute. feedback or nor feedback, you haven't got what you paid for.

although should a similar situation arrive again, i would recommend contacting the seller at least 2 times rather than just once before leaving a neg

Thanks for all the replies.

Unfortunately he has now had to eat his words and has given me a partial refund on the postage even if it is only £2 quid its the principle.

And he also sent me 8 connectors instead of 4 I just hope he can count! :rolleyes:

Hes also given me a tracking number which is completely useless as he don't state who the parts will be delivered by although I'm guess city link who delivered the other bits.

I shall just have to think of a reply to his ebay message now for when I get the bits.

It would also be a shame if I forget about the paypal dispute for oh I dunno another 19 days wouldn't it. :whistle:

That is absolutely shocking!! You poor thing. I can't get my breath that someone could be so childish and abusive. Really shocked. That's only happened to me once and I was really upset by it. What is their ebay name? I can't quite believe that they think they can get away with it, without it affecting their sales and reputation. Good luck whatever you decide to do. edsjad

so, despite his blustering he's come up with the goods - so he has taken notice and is thinking about his reputation after all. SO he has done a u turn. I would take that in good grace if I were you and forget all disputes and write and thank him when you're parts arrived. You have, after all, got what you want. ALl the best.

I shall certainly close the dispute when the parts arrive.

However I most definitely will not be writing to him and thanking him after the last email I got of him.

If he emails and apologies then fair enough.

If you think about it the only reason hes done a u turn is because I opened a dispute. Hes not done it out of the kindness of his heart hes done it cause he ain't got much choice.

I complained to Ebay about an abusive power seller who failed to send two items to me then negged me on both, calling me a liar and a thief on my feedback.

The response from Ebay was that I had to dissect each word or phrase and to explain why I felt that each part of the emails and feedback were unfair, libellous or untrue.

How can we get anywhere with idiots at Ebay who allow this foul-mouthed nonsense to continue?

This person has been smart and has NOT left anything in the follow-up feedback that warrants removal.

Liar and Thief are commonly used in negs and are not adequate grounds for removal, unless you can afford a solicitor that can demonstrate to ebay that it was libellous.

Obscene and threatening emails are one thing, a few unpleasant words in feedback is another.

Dont surpise me these days im afraid to say athlough it is annoying that people like this can get away with it isent it.

It certernally wont put me of buying and selling on ebay because these days I expect things like that im afraid to say.
