Abusive Seller

I purchased a sky dish kit and a bracket of a seller about 3 weeks ago and the website clearly stated they they will give a discount on the postage if you are buying more then one item.

So I brought them both together and paid by paypal as despite asking for it it never came and I was desperate for the parts.

They came quick enough and was well packaged but upon inspection I found that some of the connectors where missing.

So I rang them up and the guy apologized and said I would get the parts within 2 days which is fair enough as mistakes do happen as hes a power seller and you cant be right every time.

Fast forward to today and after waiting a good 3 weeks now and still no parts I decided to let him know how I felt with my feedback. After all why should I keep chasing up for bits as I have paid my money and have already had a promise broken.

So after leaving my feedback which I thought was fair in being 1 neutral and 1 negative I get this.

W*****RS LIKE YOU GIVE EbAY A BAD NAME. WE PROVIDE A FREE PHONE NUMBER FOR CUSTOMERS TO CALL US.

GROW UP CHILD.

Which I responded to with.

I'm Sorry you feel that way.

I purchased an item from yourself and yes granted we can all make mistakes and sometimes miss bits out of a parcel.

However I did ring you and despite being promised that the parts would be with me.

Now a good 3 weeks later and still no parts I think I have been pretty reasonable before leaving feedback.

Regardless of whether you have a freephone number or not why should I have to keep chasing up for items I have already purchased?

And now I have just got this.

F### you. !!!!!!s like you bring shame on ebay. You are a disgrace and need to grow up. I feel embaressed for you. I bet you have no close friends and you live in a world of patheticness. F-off and die. If you had bothered to have given a follow up call you would have found we would have refunded you and sent out the missing items. Now all you have achieved is we have made more money out of YOU and your feedback will be forgotten about in one days time.



Basically go away and die.

My advice to anyone is stay well clear of this person as there's plenty of other people selling sky dishes on eBay.

If the message was sent through the eBay Messaging feature then you can report the abusive emails and he ebay will look into it so he can't do it to future buyers.

There should be a link down the right of the message but you have to go into My Messages to see it.

This guy sounds like an idiot and you did the right thing in theory but he has a point when he says that all it means is he makes more money and gets to keep the parts (if he was going to refund you and send the parts) One negative wont make that much difference. You shouldnt have to but you should have rung up and sent emails as you would have then got your parts. This is why ebay is unfair.

Have they given you negative feedback in return and have you got the missing parts?

Looks like he is a bit mifed as he can't leave you any negative feedback .
Ebay isn't perfect ,but if it had been a guy in a magazine you had bought off you would have no way of moaning and letting other people know .
In a sence you have won .This will make him think a bit harder about checking things when thet are sent out .

The guys comment are not good and you should probably do something about them.

However as soon as you leave feedback you have closed the door to all further correspodance and any hope to a resolution.

I would have spent more time chasing this up before leaving any feedback.

Whilst the seller seems to have completely over reacted I do still agree with Hintza in that I would have spent a bit more time before leaving feedback. However, it is definitely worth sending copies of the emails to ebay to complain about their content, they will need full headers if they came via normal mail.

No he cant leave me negative feedback because he had already left me good feedback so that's probably why hes even more wound up.

Luckily he sent the messages through ebay and I have use the report link on both although i'm not holding my breath on them doing anything especially as it says they wont even let you no due to privacy issues.

I did think about reporting them to my hotmail as well but again I wouldn't hold my breath about anything being done as they also came to my hotmail account.

Yes maybe I should of rang them up again especially as it was a freephone number but I have been working 7.30 - 5.00 this last few weeks and its difficult to ring anyone at them times.

Hes now left me replied to the feedback he left me saying.

This buyer is why eBay gets bad reviews. Negs oafter he gets feedback.

What a pathetic specimen of a person. Waits for feedback and Negs you. Grow up.

Just for the hell of it now I have opened a paypal dispute and I will be dragging it out for as long as possible as I will not be spoken to that by anyone.

He has my money and my parts.

If he refunds then or sends them on then I will close it but I doubt he will.

At the end of the day, Power sellers are Ebays Bread and Butter, these people are
Untouchable. even though this seller sounds like Scum!

Ebay will send the standard email, they always send out to you, but they
won't do anything about this seller they will still get their ebay Xmas card.
