Hi.
POPPY123 should be along soon and she may well be able to put your mind at rest as she is excellent on here.
From my understanding from others is that if your back payments exceed a certain amount they need to be checked and authorised. I don't think its anything to worry about it will just delay payment. They do not rush anything but the call centre really should have been able to enlighten you as its just an added worry.
Good luck with it and keep us posted

Just a bit of advice needed please? Home visit cancelled by capita for pip claim on 6th October said everything had been sent over to dwp for a decision to be made they said they had all evidence and information needed so no f2f. Have phoned dwp numerous times to be told they have not received the electronic copy but had everything else, I have phoned capita myself and they have told me that they have sent it three times now, phoned today and still being told that the electronic copy has not been received so the case manager can not look at it. It is not a big deal for us really as my son receives the dla anyway while waiting, but we just wanted to know regarding the mobility car, can anyone tell me has this happened to them? Or what do you think I should do? Many thanks...
Hi
The only thing I can think of is give them another week and contact your MP to intervene as see if he can get it sorted.
Absolute numpties sometimes - How can a report be sent 3 times and be lost 3 times!!!!
Good luck I hope you get it sorted soon

This doesn't sound like anything to do with the back dated payments to me. OP said his claim is being re-checked.0 -
Reading this thread, i really do feel for you all. AFAIK my dla runs out in 2016, so i'm praying i dont get reassessed before then as my understanding is fluctuating mental health is difficult to claim for, plus i am now under sole care of my GP (despite asking to be re referred to CMHS
and despiet the fcat as being bipolar i really need more help than my GP can give)
Tbh i think i will just give up at that point unless i can get further help by then. Its difficult as my dla helps with the fact i can only work part time (and gives me entilement to WTC which i wouldnt survive without). Ideally i hope (well..more like praying for a miracle) i can cope with full time by then but i dont have high hopes. My bus pass also runs out in 2016 and unless they give me a psych by then theres no hope of renewing that either.
So yeah, i do feel for you allIts horrible. People make out like claiming for help with disabilities is easy, but they have no idea how stressful it actually is.

You say you've been paid enhance daily living and enhanced mobility?
Depending on when you made your claim - your 1st payment is probably of 'high value' ?
Sounds like no matter who's checked it before, if the payment is over a certain amount - it needs checking - in case there's a mistake.
I imagine it's an IT security measure thing -
If you've got your letter saying your due money - there would have to be a darn good reason why they couldn't pay you - IMHO
Sure it'll be there soon - maybe Noel.Shanahan8@dwp.gsi.gov.uk is checking it?!
Good luck0 -
Thank you for replying, i phone dwp and was told they have to get it authorised because it is a large amount and its nothing to worry about. Still worried though!0
