Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Depending on how much it was, but I would pay for my friends to attend my wedding, and put them and their families up for a week0

It's interesting how ideas on this change with age and circumstance. When my children were little it would have been £100 on clothes for me, or a brand new car, or a bigger house. Now... holidays and more holidays. So it's the time and experiences rather than 'things'0

I'd like a new bike.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

What are you planning to do with said savings then?
Personally if it were an option it would be saved to be put towards a house deposit.
If that isnt an option and the money was sufficient to cover lost income then a holiday.0 -

If i came into money i would LOVE to do a sort of DIY SOS on my parents bathroom as a suprise....
it really is awful... i would post pictures but my mother would be so embarrassed. The wall next to the bath its all brick wall where the tiles were all ripped off(DIY disaster years ago!) the shower doesnt work (broke years ago and they couldn't afford to fix/replace it) the loo and sink are pale green ...the bath is white. The floor under the bath is dipping (biggest worry !).... the wooden paneled walls are rotten .....:(
i have no idea what it would cost but it is a dream to get it done.
they never have guests over as they are too ashamed ( if it was a bedroom they could close the door but guests need to use the amenities!) my sisters boyfriend goes home for a shower and their friend/family dont stay over...
so yes i would surprise them with a whole new bathroom and for the first time in years they could have a hot shower!

If I had the money I would get myself an electric wheelchair (college lent me one when I attended and it helped me massively)
If I came in to a lot of money it would be a no-brainier: a house on one level and enough space so I can get my own bedroom so I have room for the day I am in a wheelchair full time.“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure.
