Guys don't be mad at me for being misleading please...but I don't have time to get something made. I was a little 'loose' with the timing in my first post as I didn't want to be even more easily recognised if there was someone else attending the wedding who was an MSE'r.

Don't feel your comments are not of help though. x

I don't know how long you have (and of course, no need to say) but it might be worth emailing a dressmaker / seller setting out when you need it for, and asking if a rush job is possible?

OK aliasojo - let's get down to business! :D
Tell us what measurements (height etc!) you are - maybe one of us can lend you you something suitable? We're all friends here!

Oh you are so kind but I couldn't. Imagine borrowing something and spilling my dinner down it or catching it on the barman's cufflink.

    What?....you never know. :D

I'd be on tenterhooks all night. :D

I wore a black trouser suit to my brother's wedding. Never thought twice about it and would be surprised if anyone else did either.

But I did dress it up with a HUGE and fab-ul-ous hat.

    Hello girls,

just wanted to post a couple of links, first one is a blog i follow:

    http://www.doesmyblogmakemelookfat.com/

Becky shows you how much confidence you could have and some links to where to get clothes from.

I know she's still young but hell we can adapt most styles.

    Another one:

    http://theplussideofme.com/

I know she's american but they wear a lot of english clothes.

Look through the other blogs - on the side - and see some truly beautiful well dressed girls who can give you some ideas and show you that you can wear stuff.

Oh and me, i would wear a black dress :D, did a wedding 3 weeks ago in a black and white spotty frock.

By the way, they sell "industrial" underwear in Primark, it's quite good, not got the price tag of the magic Spanx but its doable, I like the long line vest thing that will hold a smooth line down past your bum.... I'm a tall gal and the long line version has plenty length so a shorter bod wouldn't have to be scared of it cutting her in half.
And BHS has a sale at the moment , got some nice occasion frocks in larger sizes.
    Hope to help.

I'm not a 'loud and proud' kinda gal tbh.

I'm sure the ladies are lovely but they just make me want to lose weight even more. :(
