Noooooo....I don't like mine, I want small perky ones. :rotfl:

Btw, with regards to dress shape/style....this is kinda the best shape for me. It makes me look taller and skims over waist etc.

Things with actual waistbands are not good, nor are fitted styles.

Think how bad small perky ones would look on you if the rest of you were not similarly small and perky. ;)

. That's the one that's sold out is it? What about getting bigger than you need and getting a dress maker to take it in if you like it?

Or.....do you sew? Its a very simple shape? There is bound to be a pattern for something similar. There is no doubt IMO that bigger sizes are harder to fit (and the whole thing is quite an emotional process....) but you end up with a one off that you like!

I'm coming to the conclusion that all the Bridezilla's out there have bought out all suitable wedding attire so that all their guests will look hideous and not outshine them. Seriously, there's hardly anything left in any size! And I've looked at about half a dozen sites.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    What about this one? http://www.simplybe.co.uk/shop/pleat-knot-detail-maxi-dress/qg351/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=8402#colour:Cranberry,size:

It would gather under the bust skimming the waist and the thingy (no idea what it's called...) running down the front would be very flattering I think.

I wouldn't bother with special wedding outfits unless you're a very close relative. They're all very expensive and you can hardly wear them anywhere else.

I'm not - I'm just looking for nice dresses, or nice tops and skirts.

Lovely! Easy to accessorise, too. :)

  • I sometimes find that some item of clothing I like fits and suits me apart from hem length, or gaping too widely over the clevage, so something like that.

It's really easy, though, to take a hem up, or a waistband in a bit, or put some ribbon to stop gaping.

I do that particulaly with waists - I like to thin I have a small waist compared with my chest and hips, although it's probably more accurate to say I have large hips and chest compared to my waist (-:

 Size 20?! Her and her twin in the same frock maybe, but no way! lol

Look at her in the swimwear, she is probably an 18 or 20. Or more likely a pear shape with a 20 bottom half.

I had a total nightmare finding something to wear for a wedding in June and hated trying to find a dress so I went with black trousers and a purple and black top. I was comfy able and didn't hate wearing it and as the bridesmaids wore black then IMO black trousers were ok. I also think they are ok at any wedding allowing you to concentrate on finding a top and accessories that you feel confident in.
