They might start hassling or stalking you on your regular mobile number - I wouldnt want random people having my number.
It would be a right pain having to keep changing your regular mobile number.
I have 2 mobiles anyway, work & personal.

Its easy enough to block a number on most mobiles and if your mobile cant, you can download a free app called SMS blocker

I dont give out my mobile number to anyone new unless Ive got to know them pretty well.

I don't class someone contacting me as stalking. I was stalked properly.
I just simply don't reply to texts or even read them, as I delete there number and after a few coffee meets i have had a few numbers on my phone, but i couldn't tell you who they were because all it comes up with is a random number which could be a few guys. :rotfl:

I'm feeling a bit hurt about it - it's not so much him - because I don't even know the guy - it's because I've been 'dumped' recently and the hurt of that is coming back. Maybe I should have left it till I was well and truly over my relationship and not try to make myself feel better this way.

I agree. I know there are nice guys out there and Im friends with some of them, but if I had a quid for every !!!! Ive met Id be rich, seriously why be hurt at someone who cant even be civil to you, just be assured that you are well rid.

I really think this was a scam set up by the website to entice you to pay for a full membership so please don't feel rejected. If you haven't seen that Panaroma program then you should watch it.

Not all sites are pay to respond sites, and the pay ones are not necessarily any 'better' quality of client than the free ones. In fact I didn't know the ladies ever had to pay .

I was thinking of in case they got funny & started repeatedly texting... or texting/calling at night or in the middle of the night.
It might be cautionary to have a "dating" phone, you switch off at night & can ditch the sim on easily.

But the OP said she had a 3 day free trial, so it sounds like she would have to pay after that.

Ive had all that, it doesn't wake me up anymore.... i just don't reply, they get bored of it and give up in the end believe me!
I don't want to pay for another PAYG or contract sim when i get unlimited calls and texts. Not worth the hastle of 2 payouts.
Most guys ive met are decent and ive only had one that didn't get the message... but like i said he gave up in the end.

Even with the free trial ones the contact was restricted, usually the free bit, meant you could search, but once you tried to make contact then the request for payment came along.
Members can/should do their own filtering, on a popular fishing site for instance , some of the ladies look pretty enough to walk down the street and meet a guy (who's available) , so to me they are either fake or don't have a personality that is palatable for too long

I was rejected - had a text back within minutes just saying 'don't think so (and my name)

You didn't put the bit about the church did you??

Only joking. What a tosser! Oh lovey, what an absolute git. There are some real arses out there. But that's all it is - just one guy who's an arse. Don't let it put you off, and don't start thinking it's you.
