Can you not make some sacrifices for her? You will clean the house with natural products if she uses a deoderant you cope with. It really does sound as if you're expecting her to change but not doing anything to facilitate the change.

its very very hard to get over it - almost impossible. Because I live in the house too. Like I feel trapped in my room sometimes - can't go out because smells there.
She doesn't know that the real reason I quit uni was because it would mean having to go into the bathroom in the morning when it was filled with deodorant spray (I would have to go in after her because of the start times, her work compared to my uni).

I honestly beg her to stop but she is stubborn and doesn't seem to care.

Why couldn't you get up earlier & use the bathroom first?

Also, I question if I have a mental illness or not. These smells were created by companies solely to make money. They stink, were never meant to be inhaled. I wish I lived 1000 years ago.

All I want is some cooperation. If I ever have children, my god I would help them the best I can, even if means changing from a spray deodorant to roll on, is it really a big issue.

Is it right that I have to air seal my door for hours and I can't go out unless I start freaking out. Quite often she'll say to me "just go your room"

She is helping you by not facilitating your irrational fears.

You do not have to air seal your door. You choose to do so.

She wouldn't be helping you if she were accepting your phobia and pandering to your requests.

I'm not a medical professional, but from what you've said here, yes, you do have a kind of mental health issue over these products which offend you so much that you freak out for hours when someone nearby has used them.

No, it isn't right and it's not normal and it's what you need help with. Your mother changing her habits will not cure you and give you the tools you need to lead a normal life.

How easy do you think it's going to find a partner to make these babies with when your phobia is so extreme?

    Summer holiday boredom!

Oh and your mum should not pander to you - an adult - in name!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
