Hello, today was a SFD! Went for a walk with a mate she drove and bought drinks when out
.
Spent money Friday but only on taxis and food didn't have to pay for a single drink yesterday! Then spent yesterday (total of £30) on a bag, cuppa and cake out (i was hungover and needed substance!) and supermarket shop. I am keeping a detailed spending diary though.
Got 2 days off work, off to free outdoor museum tomorrow and will take packed lunch so hopefully a SFD.
Eh xx0 -
another SFD here - as it's sunday all the shops are closed :j
I've got my first full teaching day tomorrow, so I am feeling quite anxious about it. I think I'll be alright, everything is planned, but it's always nerve racking. The students are all new to me too, so I'll be getting to know them this week too.
I have a packed lunch ready to go in the fridge, and there's drinks at the school. Hopefully I'll survive!Trying to keep in budget.

Updated my totalsanother nsd, and got £110 back that i was owed! That'll b paying off the cc, just have to keep it until wed when i can get to a bank to put it in. Its a tesco cc would b good if they took payment instore to save me a trip to s4nt4nder and then transfering!
Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Well done LSD - doing way better than me on my measly 2/20 SFDs. I did my meal plans for the week today so won't need to spend anything, oh and have found a free place to park for work so no more £5 per day parking/bus spends yay! Hoping to have a wonderful spend free week this week.0

Andrar - Dont be disappointed, i think 2 is better than nothing and lots have probably been low spend days?
£5 a day is a huge saving!! That'll soon add up, could u pay it towards a debt every day, or at the end of the week as you're used to spending it?
Well done on the meal plans, im a bit rubbish at meal planning, i just make sure i buy enough for 7 meals a week when i'm food shopping, then eat them as i feel like it. Going to try to be more organised in that dept whilst i'm on maternity leave.Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Think I'm going to put it towards the debt in one lump sum each month - it makes me feel more accomplished if I can take bigger chunks off the debt.
And you're right, my spend days have all been in the couple of quid margins so no huge spends and all within budget like a good girl!
I love a meal plan, I feel great when I can cross it off the list - I'm such a list geek!0 -
Morning all!
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend! I have had a quiet one at home on my own with my twins while Mr Boo took my daughters to my Uncles for the weekend to play with and ride their horses (another free activity apart from petrol). Spent Saturday doing jobs around the house and yesterday was another lazy day. However, its only 9am and already been up and out to Mr Te%~o this morning to grab some extras to use up supplies in the kitchen cupboards. Eldest daughter off to work later and youngest off to craft club so going to have a walk out this afternoon to see the ducks on the canal with the twins.
Few items on ebay due to end in a couple of days but only one being bid on so far. Fingers crossed for the others XXX
Off to make a crumble now with the rhubarb I was given by the neighbours. Might trick Mr Boo into thinking I'm a domestic goddess yet!!!!!!

Morning all
Well my £10 trip to the pub was a success yesterday - only stayed for 2 drinks which were both bought for me, and I bought some £2 chips for DS. Used some of my cash to go to Aldi and stock up on Super 6 stuff but still came home with £5 which has gone into my "rollover" pot for days I haven't budgeted for. Still, I think £5 over 5 days (the other 4 were SFDs) is pretty good!
Hoping for another 4-in-a-row of SFDs this week. Have made Jack Monroe's Tomato and Haricot soup for the week (and made it cheaper by rinsing a tin of value baked beans rather than buying a tin of haricot beans, same beans under the cheap sauce) so that will be my lunches, have made Easiyo yoghurt for the week as well (discovering in the process that value skimmed UHT works as well as semi-skimmed, so that's an 11p saving each time, and also a calorie saving!) - brought them to work in old breast milk pots haha! Also have fruit with me, along with value crisps and chocolate bars.
Sold the printer I got from the VitaminWater people for £51 on Ebay so will post that today then pay off the remaining money to my CC. Also have the money from local sales over the weekend to pay off. Should be almost there then!
OK - a money saving dilemma. My M-I-L bought me a beautiful dress for my birthday but it doesn't quite fit (not a case of getting a bigger size, I just don't like a tight dress around my pot belly!). She has given me the receipt in case I want to change it - but it's a cash receipt and it was £40! Do I just take the cash or should I treat myself?

Happy Monday everyone!!
Well a very busy weekend for me (everything happens at once). 2 Birthdays, a hen night and 2 BBQ's later and I managed to only spend £20.80 out of my £40 (planned spend), so Low Spend Days considering how much was going on! I made more home made fudge, hand-made cards for gifts, and also used the Albelli offer on the cheap photoprint/photo book finder:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/free-photo-prints?utm_source=MSE_Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=06-Aug-13&utm_campaign=deals&utm_content=90
As a new customer you get £15 photobook voucher and just have to pay for postage. I just got a smaller book than the one MSE recommends and only had to pay £2.99 postage. The photo book was lovely quality and my friend was so chuffed with it! :T
Lilian1977- I would say treat yourself. It was a Birthday gift after all and money you were not expecting.
Have a great day everyone!:coffee:

Hi, firstly I'd ask what was more important a dress that you may not ever wear or the money to pay off you debt?
Do you have a dress that your friend has never seen you in and say that you got it in exchange, I know its a little white lie but it really depends on what you biggest need is, clothes or money?
Well, as expected 2 spend days over the weekend but am trying desperately to have a NSD today which is achievable as long as nothing unexpected comes up.
A cheap expense yesterday was for a get well soon card and a bunch of flowers for my cricket captains wife who has been in hospital for the last week as well as such a wonderful lady and using a money off coupon from S41nbury's saved about half the cost = Happy days and a well worthwhile gesture.
Hope everyone else are getting along well with their goals and targets2013 Goals - Credit Card - Repaid in full on 06/08/2013 - £1,313.92 / Mortgage 1 - Repaid £865.96/£3,500.00 / Mortgage 2 - Repaid £1,132.74/£3,650.00 / Loan 1 - Repaid £571.30/£1,983.64 / Loan 2 - Repaid £318.97/£3,026.01
