Lilian1977- I would say treat yourself. It was a Birthday gift after all and money you were not expecting.Hi, firstly I'd ask what was more important a dress that you may not ever wear or the money to pay off you debt?
Do you have a dress that your friend has never seen you in and say that you got it in exchange, I know its a little white lie but it really depends on what you biggest need is, clothes or money?
Thanks both. Its actually my mother in law Dan so it would be a case of lying to hubby as wellI think I will take it back, and if I then see something that catches my eye while I'm there and it's within the budget, I will get something to replace it, but otherwise I will save it until I see something, maybe in the next sales.

Hi all!!!
Sorry for my absence but had a lovely few days away on the south coast soaking up sun, sea and well... pebbles. Feeling very rested and recharged. My mate stuck to his juicing diet which meant I stuck to just eating healthily. We did go out for a shop on Saturday - but bought all healthy stuff - and I've ended up bringing a load back with me! That's got to be a first. So we went 2.5 days with no meals out!!!
The programme that inspired him Kat, was called 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead'. Was a TV documentary... This is the guy's website:
http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/
He looks good for it, and is now on day 18!!!
Yesterday = SFD number 7
I'm going to have to keep a close eye on budget's from here on. I have a full fridge/freezer and cupboards look pretty full, so will be just eggs, milk and stuff.
Credit card now cleared and signature updated!!!

I'm declaring nsd numero 6 today, and now that I've done that, I shall not spend! We may need bread, but i have 6 packets of bread mix, which I'll make after work (not all 6,I'll use one pack!) and make some bread rolls. In fact I may give dd a bowl and some water and let her do it..... Don't need anything else, we're fully stocked.
Hoping for another nsd tomorrow, as thurs is shopping day, so i know that wont be, will have to be tactical if i want to reach 20.
Have a lovely day everyone xStill here..... but working on that!0 -
Morning all! Think my company are on to me. NO ACCESS TO MSE AT WORK ANY MORE!!! Bother! I have to much to write!
I will log in from home tonight hough. An full SFD weekend , OT rolling in hard and fast to the point I might have to refuse one or two and this weekend was hard and as a result I have he shivers/sniffles etc.
Two more OT shifts confirmed though, two more awaiting. Been doing calculations which makes me very happy. Not so happy when it think how much the dirrrrrrrty tax man will get.
Anyway.. I will read hrough posts and be back on later. I'm still juicing. What joys!
Onwards! ( please excuse typos ).“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Was in London for the weekend (again) but not too much damage:
Friday: SFD
Saturday: supermarket bits (in budget) and outdoor cinema (tickets already planned/paid for)
Sunday: Naughty Sushi lunch from Wasabi, but I needed to eat on route home!
SFD planned for tomorrow, but tomorrow will be spendy day: need to buy supplies to make cakes for office (it's my birthday on Thursday) and I have a voucher for £3 off £20 shop that expires tomorrow, so with a few other necessary food bits should make the £20.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Done! My balance transfer CC is paid off, 11 months before it needed to be. Hoorah!
Probably not the most sensible idea as I would have gained, ooh, about 20p interest in a savings account (it was only £125) but it makes me feel better to have no debt and now I can start saving!
It's also definitely a SFD as am now back from my lunch break and going straight home from work. I did take the dress back but exchanged it for a lovely top that I would never have bought myself (£23?!! You must be mad!) but still had £17 left to bank. So I think that's #5.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

NSD for me today! Just enroute home from a meeting and work paid for lunch and train. Also got my breakfast with the last of my Starbucks gift card as a treat. Once I'm off the train and in the car I'll be home in no time with no temptations to make me spend. 3/20 woohoo!0

Hello all
Still trying to be fairly frugal...did the sums for the holibobs last week and it was:
- £129 pitch fees for camp site
- £90 food
- £27 books and music ( it did rain solidly for 2 days)
- £34 fish and chips, ice creams etc
- £31 parking, fuel
Couple of other bits..£320 in total for all 4 of us. it certainly felt frugal but we didn't go without and had a good time. I reckon it's less than half what we would usually spend, as we would go to cafes and sometimes to an event or a paying attraction. This time it was the beach and nowt else.
Hope all are well and Monday is not too hideous for those at work! ( or those at home looking after kids!)
