NSD for me today - making that 3/20 - that is really good for me - It really does stop me nipping to shop or cafe in work! I do need washing up liquid desperately I have been rinsing the bottle since Monday to get the last drops! I have a dishwasher but don't put big pans in it! need to get it soon though but wanted to tie it onto another spend day! not sure washing dishes with hand soap or kitchen cleaner is a great idea!

Don't need a much in the way of shopping for next week except fresh fruit and veg - it's only been me and DD1 at home this week and I seem to be cooking the same amount but making is spread between 3/4 meals - it has made packed lunches easy with leftovers! Going to do Aldi instead of Asda this week.
  • Oh big fat groan! Don't know what I just did there but I lost my entire post! Grr!

But GOOD EVENING TO YOU ALL!!!

So well done to you all stacking up the SFD's or at least trying. I can honestly appreciate just how hard it is not to run out and get yourself some halloumi after tasting just a little. I think the pizza, giant buttons and halloumi stood out for me particularily tonight... nowt to do with the juicing fast starting tomorrow.

I shall spare you all my whinging and groans and will be updating my own thread with daily witterings about my impending 7 days of NO FOOD!!! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4205263

how long was your friend doing it for? Jason Vale never has pure fruit as it can be dangerous.. what program is your friend on!

Beckyboo... its great to see you back here. You are a testament to things being able to change for the better if you push push push... I can still remember you saying about your OH working all night on the computer that was in your bedroom and keeping you awake... that was you wasn't it... I am so happy he found some work!!

LittleSkintDragon... if you need a car you need a car. Nowt way around it. But I am desperate to know what you are having.. can you tell us...unless it's simply a littler dragon.. arf arf!

Right enough witticisms for one night. Expenditure shall be added to the signature tomorrow...

    Night all...

Good morning all - if it can even be called morning at this time! DS had me up at 4.15am this morning crying about not wanting a bath! As if I was going to be doing that! He's 2 and 7 months now and has NEVER slep ppast 7am, its usually 5 30ish. I'm so tired :( Doesn't help that OH went out last night and then spent an hour throwing up when he got in :(

Anyway. Thankfully DS is in nursery today and I'm not working so can rest and avoid the shops. Might need milk but will use a T3sco gift card from a complaint so SFD. Have happy days all xx

  • Lilian - dd is 8 and has never, maybe except once, slept past 7
Even last night she went to bed at 10.30 as she has a friends over, and was awake at 6.45!! Told her she doesnt dare wake her friend so we're led in my bed at the mo, her on kindle me on phone, we're a sociable family :rotfl:

Kat - we are having a zafira - 7 seater - plenty of room for future dragons and extended family dragons :) and doggy!
As we sont get it for a few weeks im not adding it to my debts for a few weeks, think thats fair!

So i wonder what today will bring.... Would be slightly optimistic of me to assume a nsd yet i think!

Love how full the freezer and cupboards are at the mo - stocking up so i dont have heavy trips to the supermarket once baby arrives (but keeping in our max budget) also dh is very useless at shopping just picks up and doesnt look at prices :eek::eek: therefore i'm avoiding him doing any big trips!!
Still here..... but working on that!

LAGL you're making me want to join NT now just to see the proper green Father Christmas instead of the red C0ca C0la one. Just need to find a liitlie to take with me, at 28 &25 I don't think my 2 would appreciate him!

Keep going all AAA challengers, you're doing great. SL

  • I bet no one had my alarm clock today!! DS shoving some tissue in my hand with the words "Mummy I've done a poo can you wipe my bottom" Daddy arrives tonight - not a moment too soon.

Also for all you pregnant ladies I would recommend that you make sure that your other half sleeps on the side of the bed nearest the door - its a top tip!! When the darling children grace you with their presence then its daddy that gets the first assault!!

Stop lurking - you dont have to be a member to do the father christmas thing and as far as Im aware there is no age limit!! My kids know that FC has helpers in other places but are convinced that the NT guy is the real deal! Turns out last year it was one of our neighbours helping out - DH and I didnt even guess!

Right hi ho hi ho its off to work I go..... Hopefully a sfd too!

Oooh M&S sent me a £20 gift card last night (a reward for our Rac breakdown cover) thats the DS's polo shirts for school paid for! :D

    Love LAGL xx

PS - DH spoke to potential buyer - they are still working out figures... so another week in limbo here I come!! ARGHHHHH!!!!

Hi, no SFDs for me so far...rubbish but we are on holiday. Have to say have been really restrained though and most days the spend has just been icecreams! Not a single theme park or event..not even the pony trekking I had wondered about so the cheapest week in a long time. Just Ebooks, ice creams and the occasional car park.

Also made a yummy sauce to go with the mussels we gathered from the beach..gorgeous! We are camping at the Gower at the moment...totally lush:D For the peeps coming here later it is truly a wonderful place, even in the rain! ( but the last few days have been amazingly sunny!)

    Hello again

Did well with my £5 T3sco Moneycard (from a complaint about some mushy rocket):

    Loaf of Kingsmill 50/50 - £1
    Value Rice Krispies - 77p
    4 x Southern Fried Chicken - £1.64
    Value UHT milk - 53p
Yeo Valley natural voghurt - 50p (last two for Easiyo making)
    Value tin grapefruit - 32p
    Value tin mandarins - 23p

Came to £4.99 so 1p still to use! ;) And that's me registering SFD #3.

Also been selling some stuff on local Facebook group this morning, £12.50 up from that now and a lady coming later to look at cake making stuff so might make more.
