Beckyboo...I am doing the 7lbs in 7 days one. So far I have only bought 3 days worth of fruit and veg as they break it down for you and since I am relying on leg power to bring me home it works out well.
I hit Holland and Barrett for pre-planned budgetted spiralina and wheatgrass powder (£20), Lidls for most of the veg (£17) and Morrisons for bagged spinach and carrots etc (£7 ish).. so I need to repeat this for Mon-Thurs although there are LOTS of apples to buy. I bought 40 today. This is Jason Vales book, 5 juices a day. You have to read the book though but..ahem... I might have the pdf to share if you care to inbox me your email address....ahem...
I have planned for this though so it's worth thinking through and budgeting for first as I don't think it's very MSE for one person!:o“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Not much to report here: SFD and that's about it.

Hi everyone!
Becky - reading about your kids making a den took me back! Used to love doing that... and we used to set a tent up in the garden and sleep overnight there - that was still fun because it was outside... but not so far away that we didn't have a toilet, and could run back inside if it got too cold etc... maybe try that as a first go!
Good luck with the juicing Kat! My mate had to go to AE last night with stomach pains and they think he may have been producing too much acid, and put him on a tablet to help. I suggested he have the fruit one in the morning (am) and the veg ones later at night (more alkali)... He lost 16 lbs in his first week!!! That sounds crazy i know. He has his second weigh in tomorrow!!!
Today = SFD number 6
Pleased with my progress to date - have loads of food in, just need to go careful and avoid temptation over this weekend when I'm away.
Have a nice evening!!!

Hi BECKYBOO!£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund0 -
Evening everyone, hope you've all had a nice day
I'm just plodding along with nothing exciting to report. Making money and not really spending money - all going to plan so far! I had to make an unscheduled spend in a well known toy store to buy a gift for my little toddler niece with a broken bone (ouch!), but I took it from my misc budget so a bit of a tighter squeeze for the rest of the month, but I have a happy niece who wants to visit so it's a worthwhile spend as far as I'm concerned
I've given up on my voucher only supermarket spends for August as some of them haven't arrived yet, but I'll definitely do this in September. So, this means my spends for August so far are.....
Food: £20.83/£50 (I don't know why I set this budget so low...may have to find some extra money to top it up later in the month!)
Petrol: £0/£50 (about to change as I'm limping along with the glaring yellow light on my dashboard!)
SFD: 3/20
Misc: £23.48/£100
Off to catch up on the posts I've missed to see what you've all been up to0 -
Good evening everyone.
£10.64 spent on my weekly shop, which although i wanted it under a tenner, this isnt too bad in the grand scheme of things.
Also spent 30p at the work tuck shop. I say "tuck shop" - what it really is is a filing cabinet drawer. People buy sweets and chocolate from the supermarket when its on offer and put it there, then when you want something you pay 30p and take what you want on a trust basis. The people who bought stuff then recoup their money. Its a good mse system, and it less than half the price of the vending machine:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Ola everyone!
Still not got past my single NSD but I'm not too stressed as from tomorrow that's every bill paid, no petrol/groceries/anything needed so plenty of NSDs ahead for me. I feel a bit bad having only 1 so far but when I put it in context that all my bills etc happen in the first week of the month it makes sense. Hopefully I'll catch up in no time.
Got a quick question, what's the best way to sell DVDs - eBay, music magpie, others?0 -
Evening,
My FIRST NSD!!
Had breakfast at home before I left for work, took my lunch in with me and made dinner when I got in! I made sure I didn't give myself any reason/ excuse to buy anything, headed straight home from work!
Tomorrow will not be a NSD as colleagues birthday so out after work, but I've planned for it.
Good luck everyone!Save £12K in 2013 £4000/90000 -
Yee haaaaa :T I finally managed a sfd! Thanks to my kids...
We have a national trust monument locally which DS has been banging on about visiting for months. So I went onto the NT website and downloaded a 2.5 mile walk that started and finished there, complete with the full story of the legend about the monument. We took a picnic and plenty of water, and made the walk last for about 3 hours in total.
They enjoyed it so much that we're now seriously considering a family membership to NT. There are a few places quite local to us, and I think we could probably make good use of it. DH will make the final decision Saturday as he's wanting to go to the Lakes. I suspect if we do go then we'll end up joining.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Evening all - sfd and totals updated!
Wannabe in credit - NT membership is good - do it through top cash back and it makes it cheaper. My DH worked out that if you were an overseas member of New Zealand NT equivalent you get entrance into UK properties and it works out at £30 for a family!! We didnt do this but did cancel our membership at renewal and then take it out again to get the new member savings if that makes sense. They email you through a cover note straight away so no waiting for membership cards etc. NT Scotland was slightly cheaper if the top cash back deal isn't on anymore and they have a reciprocal arrangement with NT England.
Sounding like a right anorak now...... But we use ours a fair bit with the kiddlets and their Father Christmas thing is fantastic at our local NT property - you book a time slot with FC and get him all to yourself beside a lovely fire and huge tree - he is however wearing his green suit - keeps his red one for Christmas eve apparently!
Love to all
