    Morning!

Kat- No, she isn't really a money saver! At least a couple of times a week a package arrives from online shopping! But we keep our finances quiet separate.

Really hoping for a NSD, don't foresee any need to spend. I'm heading to work in 30 minutes but I've just had cereal at home, made my lunch - chilli chicken in pitta bread with sour cream! I've packed a can of drink and a breakfast bar incase I get hungry during the day, I WILL avoid the vending machine!

    Have a good day!

Mrs Toast, I'm broody enough as it is at the moment and you just made it 10 times worse. She is gorgeous, what a cutie.

Forgot to post yesterday. It was a SFD so that's 2/20. I really need to start trying much harder.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that my lil old banger of a car PASSED her MOTea!! :j:j:j:j

    *Still in Shock*

I had £350 aside for it- so minus the £45 for the MOT, £200 will be put aside towards car emergencies/repairs (there are a couple of advisories) and £105 towards the debt!! :T

Its all very quiet where I live, the majority of people seem to have gone on holidays this week, Im having a few days away in October (courtesy of a friend) and in November (courtesy of S*N newspaper) so at least I still have something to look forwards to:)

So anyway, off to start the housework as its a day off today and Im babysitting DGC3 (shes 3 months now) this afternoon whilst DD3 and her hubby take DGC1 (8yrs) to pictures to see Despicable Me 2,

    Good morning,

today won't be and SFD as an unexpected £50 goes to the DVLA. Apparently I should have exchanged my German/EU paper driving licence 7 years ago  as they're only valid here for three. So I better do it asap. As the car goes in for a service tomorrow (another unexpected spend as OH didn't tell me about it ) I might as well pop into LIDL today and top up some stuff and I'll leave the bigger shop till Friday.

    Better dash off, back later

    Good morning all

Well I am already declaring today as a SFD as I have brought no money with me and I don't need anything. So that's 1/20. Eek.... :( It's not going to happen again is it?! I will have to try as hard as I can for the rest of the month, not easy when it's been my birthday.

Went bowling last night, and managed to bring £4 out of my budgeted £21 home so that's good. I have put it into a little pot as a contribution to my next dentists appointment (not till December).

BLD and snacks from stores today. Need to go to Boots at lunchtime to get a nit comb for DS as we can't seem to get rid of them but I'm counting that as a med spend, is that OK NSK? If not, I will get OH to buy them!

    Have happy days everyone xx

Hi, I ran out of time to post yesterday. Yesterday was SFD 4 and today will be SFD 5. I have just worked 4 nights in a row ( 3 of which were extras) and am off tonight YAY, but back in tomorrow night BOO. I've just got two more nights to work ( including tomorrow night) and August pay is locked in. All being well I hope to make another loan overpayment. Still no pin no. for 0% CC.

I've just read the last couple of pages so....

Mrs Toast - Awww lovely baby pic, congratulations on tiny tot toast.

LoveaDove - Sorry for not getting back to you re the savings diary thread, my bad I forgot to add quotes to indicate the title of the thread, glad you worked it out.

Andrar, Munchin, Determined Diva and LAGL well done with getting off the starting blocks with SFDs.

NSK - Your day in the country sounded lovely.

Everhopeful09 - Proud of you for swerving the work collection, because if you're going to give, it should be when it suits you.

Danl31 I am overpaying my loan, what calculator did you use, if not an mse one could you post the link.

Jonesy88- B@n Ofoedu the singer on the 'Turn around' song dates Van@ssa F@ltz (if they still do). I know this as they appeared on wife swap, but I can't for the life of me remember who they swapped with. Ben is still singing 'Turn around' on the club circuit. I have to say I felt sorry for VF as she had to trail him around at night as he did PAs even when she had an early morning radio show to do. I guess it works for her and he makes her happy.

Task for today find out where my local food bank is.

    Good morning lovely people!

First I must say huge congratulations to Mrs Toast, Maisie is an absolute beauty :) And I'm glad I'm not the only one now feeling very broody, Jonesy88 and parsniphead! Great tune btw Jonesy88, am humming it now

Fantastic news about your car MOT LoveADove, must be such a relief. I passed my driving test recently so I'm hoping to save up & get a car soon, but they do seem to be a total moneypit!

LAGL hope you're having a great time in bonny Scotland after your epic journey..hmmmm, that reminds me of a story.. about some hobbits who had to travel a very long way....maybe it's a good omen for your Middle-earth house :D

Congratulations to abundant1972, leading the way on NSDs so well done you!!

Thank you so much Kat, really appreciate the support. I can already see that coming on here is going to help me stay on the straight and narrow. And I love the picture of the gorgeous Daisy :p

Have a great day everyone, just keep swimming!:T
I really thought I just hit rock bottom. But today, it's like there's rock bottom, 50 feet of crap, then me. (Friends)

  • Morning all... yes I just got up 30 minutes ago! Lol! I now have to pack my bits together.

Probably won't be an SFD for me as I have to get my travelcard today but will try and tie in my return from the airport with it to ensure maximum savings.. £199 for the month, £19 to get from the airport

BUT if I buy the monthly travel-card which covers Zones 1-6 in London (at the airport train station) which I travel through to get home I can then just buy an extension from the airport to the start of Zone 6 ..does that make sense...

Anyho.. gotta get bags together and will check in (literally - ha ha) at the airport... sorry bad joke...

    Onwards!!!
