I did it, I did it, I did it! Finally I'm off the starting blocks and bagged my first NSD
Also decided I'm not going to drink alcohol this month as I've realised the odd drink here and there is really adding up in the purse department, plus it'd be good for my health too
Reet here's to NSD 2, good luck everyone!0 -
:hello:
My, my the challenge is busy this month! Fantastic!
I'm just popping in to say I shall be lurking this month as off on holibobs, determined to keep to the piggy-banked spending money and not to buy any food before we go away!!!!
Good luck everybody!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Yesterday would have been a SFD except my daughter fell off her bike, bashed her eye and had to go to the hospital. She's fine and her eye isn't damaged but it was 6 euro in parking.
Today is my first day at work - it's the induction week, so no teaching yet, but a full day.Trying to keep in budget.

Good morning. Today should be another SFD, otherwise not much to report.
Some advice please. These stupid touch screens, when I scoll etc I sometimes hit the scam or report button but don't mean it. But the it's already too late. Anything I can do to reverse it?

Congratulations,Mrs Toast, on the birth of little Maisie.
Good luck for today, Challengers. First week nearly over and everyone is doing really well. Sorry to those whose cars have died and littlies falling off bikes. Keep your chin up and the rest of the month will be a success.

Hi
Not a sfd yesterday. More shopping towards the little 'un starting school. It rained all day and I had to do something - he was driving me wild in the house. But obviously no park etc, so we went and got his school shoes.
I thought today was going to be sfd as I'm taking kids to cinema later (tickets already bought and free parking), but have just remembered about our dentist appointments today. And I pay for my dental stuff so there goes yet another sfd. That's another target I won't make this month... lots of lsd but not many sfd....Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
SFD yesterday and sent OH with £1 to get milk from iceland on his way home from work. I was going to to go get DD's school uniform bits from morrisons this morning but i'm having to wait in for a delivery and someone to come look at the roof. It's OH's birthday on Sunday and he thinks he isn't getting anything but I've ordered a tablet which I can pay off over 3 months. Will only be £40 a month for 3 months and we can all get some use out of it. He deserves a treat as he got a promotion and a pay rise. He wanted to buy cakes on friday for his department. There is only 8 of them but I said to save money, I will bake a cake and only need some cherries and coconut as I have everything else in the house. I think it will be more appreciated too
xx

Good MORNING!!!:T
I spent and SFD yesterday with my cousin - smoothie for me, coffee for her = £4.55. Money well spent to be honest! Lovely day yesterday in town with her, then to her Mum's to say hello, then to mine for more coffee and chats. Hence a lack of check in - SORRY!!!
In the countryside dear reader, one gets choices to fill ones times along the lines of a County Show, a walk by an old castle ruin, or a relaxation on a swing seat in one's own garden. Today dear reader I am going to do all three.
Hopefully someone will sponsor my county show entrance fee...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:..I just wanna see the animals! #bigchild.
Also going to have a look at the savings log link so thank you LoveaDove..
HollieinBloom - love that you are treating the OH. I think it sounds like he deserves it with a promo and his birthday! Hope it's wrapped in some seriously innapropriate childrens wrapping paper just for a laugh..:)
Munchin maybe we should rename them to NLB.. naughty little blighters...Well done on your first one! :rotfl:
Wannabe... I am happy enough with LSD's as well...(not the hallucinogenic kind may I add..)
Gien I think the little one deserves a :grouphug: (grouphug) for that and a :j:j:j ..(why aren't they jumping??)for not losing an eye. SFD well spent I think.. poor little thing!
I am raring to go now folks. I return home tomorrow and am actually looking forward to getting back to the office (will regret saying this in a week) but really want to hit the overtime hard and see what I can get done before the end of the year..
I am more determined than ever now to get that holiday and a bit of travelling next year which means work work work work..
Right now.. Keep pushing Onwards and Upwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0
