It was reassuring to see these posts today.
My husband felt embarrassed to tell me they had arrived (I had no idea) and that he was concerned it was some form of fraud given that he had our personal details.
Could have been worse - we are members of Love Film and both my 3 and 4yr old love running to get them when the postie delivers them as we often order Disney films for them.Sept: Kindle TouchThanks to all that post.0 -

I must admit that my assumption was, given the number of people who appeared to be using the Greenford address with a different N-something number, that we were talking about some kind of mail fulfillment service.
Excellent detective work in tracking down the company involved. Perhaps MSE should offer you a job?:)
The interesting point I noted from that Telegraph piece was that Spring Global Mail "has also been criticised for offering a “local look” service, which allows foreign fraudsters to use the Royal Mail postmark on letters and a UK return-to-sender address. There is therefore no sign that the mail has been sent from abroad".
Or to put it another way, despite the RM postmark on these scam DVDs they may still have been sent from abroad. Hence a prosecution under the VRA 1984 might not succeed.0 -
Unfortunately if you do this YOU will then be breaking the law - as they did when they posted them out - because as other posts (e.g. #94) say R18 DVDs should not be posted under Royal Mail regulations and UK law and only sold in licenced adult shops which as someone else has pointed out even the discs say.
I believe you may also be breaking the law by not including postage on them if you did post them back.
As I said earlier, it's not an offence to post R18 DVDs, it's an offence to supply them other than in person and in a licensed sex shop. Someone who received these unsolicited DVDs and then popped them back in the post return-to-sender would not (I contend) be committing an offence, because that does not constitute a 'supply'. (They are in fact, 'unsupplying' them, if anything.:))
P.S. And as far as I'm aware not complying with RM regulations is not an offence.0 -
I haven't had any.
How do I get on their mailing list?Getting forgetful, if you think I've asked this before I probably have. :rotfl:0 -
Same here, two !!!!!! films with an 0844 number to unsubscribe.
I just did a return to sender on the address given at the top of the envelope.
Came addressed to me including my middle initial which I rarely use, and never get asked for when registering on websites, so puzzled as to where my details came from.
I hope this is the last I see of this!0 -
My hubby received these too. Fortunately it didn't cause any issues as we are all over 18. It's disgusting that children can get hold of these let alone getting your details.0

I don't know if this has been mentioned but when I examined the disc structure on my computer the discs were labelled july_19_2013. So these discs were all mass produced very recently (even though the pornography itself was made a few years ago).0

This address (I am resolutely NOT naming any company) has been sending scam mail for years.
Way back in 2004 it was listed as the mailing centre for 'International Parapsychology' who were responsible for "The Grand Calendar of Fortune" and "The Grand Talisman of Fortune" a load of twaddle that cost the mugs who believed in it £35 a pop.0
