Morning all,
First time so please cut me some slack..
Me and a some friends were delayed by almost 24hrs on a Thomson flight from Antalya to Bristol back in June 2013 (21st/22nd)
Just filled complaint form from Thomson's site.
The flight was TOM482 maybe 483
After ready lots of stories in this forum, I too think we used the same flight code for the following day.
My question is ....has anyone also put in a claim and did you get any feed back.
I didn't use the template provided but did put the relevant information in.
Hope anyone can help

I totally agree legal magpie and we did wonder whether it would have been easier for them to bring in another aircraft rather than try and find coaches and hotels for over 300 people...
It was a bit of a farce though because some of the Reps were telling people the journey to Nicosia was 20 mins and other Reps were saying 40 mins when in fact it took nearly an hour...they could have informed their Reps at least!
And then the next day getting people back onto the coaches from the hotel was a joke as well...0 -

If you are new, the best thing that you can do is to avail yourself of the huge wealth of information in the FAQs and in regular poster Vauban's excellent summary.
There is a Thomson thread where you may find information concerning your flight but you aren't going to get any compensation (if you are entitled) without going through the various hoops. If you don't want to do the work yourself, speak to a no win no fee firm.0 -
Hi,
I have sent a letter to Easyjet to make a claim for delayed flight, but have not received any response. My flight however was delayed at Tenerife airport, and i understand that mynext step should be to the Spanish air regulator. Can you advise the whom I write to and the address.

Who told you that, as a matter of interest?0 -
I have just sent one email to Thomas Cook and have heard they are willing to settle for £960 for 3 hour plus delay. They are offering a voucher but I cannot find out what I can use this against. Should I accept vouchers?0

Thanks for that - luckily I haven't posted it yet!! Will amend the details on the form.
HI, I know there is a USA thread but have previously posted here - just need a quick question answered please if possible. Have had a response to our court action from United - they are defending the claim. Their defence is based upon the fact that the plane that was scheduled to take us from Heathrow to Newark was held at Newark the previous evening due to extreme weather. I have had a look at flight stats and that seems true - can they use this as a defence or should they have made more effort to ensure there was an alternative aircraft or something?
Thanks0 -

Of course they can! They can use whatever they like in their defence. It is up to you to show they're wrong.
The argument against knock on weather delays is two-fold: that the Regulation only suggests weather can be extraordinary if it is "incompatible with the operation of the flight concerned" and secondly that the failure to rejig planes or make provision for an alternative in an operational decision within their control - that they did not use "all reasonable measures" as defined by Wallentin.
But to be honest, if you didn't know all this already, how well prepared are you to go toe to toe with the airline in court?0 -

Thanks for the information Vauban - in my defence, United refused to give us a reason until now of why the plane had been delayed. I have of course read through every relevant thread on this forum including your own guides, before sending the court forms, and now you mention do recall Walletin, but haven't studied in detail all of the cases until I knew what I was needing to gen up on. I literally had half an hour between opening the letter and having to go to work and was just after a quick bit of advice! I will be getting very familiar with Walletin during the weekend.0
