Please please please help.... Back on 20/07/06 on a flight to Zante we went through the motions, was sat on the plane, it moved backwards for 5 mins and then we were sat on the tarmac for what seemed like forever but I dont know what flight number i was on. I know i booked it from Manchester airport at Co-Op travel or Travelex/Travelcare. I don't know how to get in the archives or even if i have a claim!!! PLZZZZZZZZZZ Help, many thanks Lisa x:mad::mad::mad:
  • 1. Date/time and flight number please.
    2. Leave the reason out unless you already have one in writing. If Thomson decided to delay the aircraft as other passengers on a later cancelled flight had been rebooked onto it that is the airline's problem so compensation beckons!

    Thank you Centipede 100. Flight TOM4613 21/1/2012 12:20

    Much appreciated

Make your claim as usual but am a bit puzzled as to why you bought new flights. Why didnt you let the airline rebook you?

We were told before we left the plane that somebody would meet us in departure lounge to sort it all out, when we got to customer services desk there was somebody to meet us, but only from the handling agent and all they wanted to do was rush us through customs and dump us back in check-in area. At check-in area the airline had a desk but manned by non-airline staff, they rang head office (as we did numerous times) and we were just repeatedly told we left the plane of our own accord and would have to pay for new tickets. This was a xmas/new year 2 week holiday and if hadn't paid for the seats we would have forfeited the holiday.

Reading the article on MSE earlier I noticed this
Can I get both a refund and compensation?
Yes, you could be entitled to a lot of cash in some cases.
If you decide not to fly because the departure is delayed by over five hours, if it lands over three hours later than scheduled (instead of miraculously making up the time in the air), and it's the airline's fault, you can also claim for compensation, as well as a refund.

As it was over 5 hours, should I try and get a refund (was part of a package hol so not sure what amount the flight would be) in addition to compensation.

I have received my Thomson claim form which asks for copies of boarding cards which we don`t have. The form states it will not process my claim without them. I will state I think it is unreasonable to have kept them since 2011 but anything else I can "quote" from a legal perspective?

    Thanks

Can I ask where you got the claim form from?
  • You are out of time

    I thought it was 2005???
  • Hi does anyone know where I can get the date my flight was delayed it was a Ryanair flight approx 3-4 years ago and we were delayed at Malaga airport for 11 hours due to a problem with the door if the baggage hold then we couldn't fly as the airline staff were over their hours. • Hi
    Can anyone help me?
We had an 8 hour delay flying from Birmingham to Cancun in 2011 with Thomson.
I have signed up on flight stats but can't work out how to find old flight information. Can anyone help me?
I would love to try Claim something back. We ended up being taken by coach to Gatwick and taking off at about 5pm rather than 9 am in the morning. We were told there was an electrical fault on the plane and then the crew had gone over their flight hours so we were delayed again.
Would love some advice. Thank you

Hi guys just wondered if you could help me to see if I have a claim and how to go about it.
Original flight Emirates 11/03/2011 from Manchester to Dubai flight number EK018 should have departed 13.30hrs after sitting on the plane for a while we we're told to get off, get our baggage and meet a coach that would take us to Birmingham. We left Birmingham at 20.25hrs that night. So 6hr 55min delay. We were going to Australia and they arranged our connecting flight which went smoothly. I'm a bit confused how to claim if they sorted everything out for us in the end.
    Cheers Nik
